Being recognized as Best Taiwanese Snack in year 2002, Arnor Crepe is a famous brand in Taiwan, selling crepe that comes in many forms and varieties which can be eaten as meals, snacks or dessert. This brand started in Shi Da Night Market, Taipei and has gained popularity by leaps and bounds, thanks to the passion of the founder in developing unique new flavours that no one ever has. Now, queue builds up even before they start their business, and by the time the shop is opened, it is fully occupied in a jiffy.
Good news is Arnor Crepes has now landed in Malaysia, just few months ago in Asian Avenue, Sunway Pyramid. Diners can now savour this famous treat without having to travel to Taiwan, and we are more than happy to frequent there for their famous Mango Sundae whenever we want to.
This white and yellow coloured cute little kiosk in Asian Avenue focuses more on take away, but there’s also a few tables and chairs available for dine in.Their crepes are divided into five sections, namely the meal series, delight series, sundae series, jam series and custard series. Price rannge is from RM6.90 to RM12.90.
Japanese Chicken Sensation (RM10.90)
Among all, meal series is our favourite. They have different types of savoury ingredients wrap within the crispy crepe. We had the Japanese Chicken Sensation – Chicken, crab meat, Katsuobushi, lettuce, tomato, and corn folded in the freshly prepared crepe. So plentiful and huge in portion that one crepe has easily made us feeling full.
Arnor Signature Mango Sundae (RM9.90)
If you are here just after meal and plan to have some dessert, we recommend you Arnor Signature Mango Sundae from the Sundae Series, which is also the best seller in Arnor. Nestled within the crepe are frozen cubed mango, two big scoops of mango ice cream, thin biscuits, fresh cream and love letters. A sweet, creamy and chilling combination with crispy crepes.
No joke. The crepe is really really huge, bigger than Summergirl’s face. According to the owner, the size for Arnor Crepe in Malaysia has been down sized compared to Taiwan, as locals are not used to have such a big treat in one go. Haha, but we still happily indulged in everything, and the mango ice cream especially, is too good to resist.
Custard Chocolate with Banana (RM6.90)
For light bites, one can go for the jam series and custard series. Ingredients are simpler and lighter such as strawberry jam, peanut, chocolate, custard banana, honey green tea, etc. We tried Custard Chocolate with Banana, a combination that always turns out good- chocolaty, creamy and not too sweet.
Arnor Chicken Ham (RM7.90)
Other than crepes, Arnor is also now serving sandwich called ‘SUBS’. There are four varieties to choose from: Arnor Chicken Ham, Black Pepper Beef, Arnor Golden Egg and Arnor Tuna with Corn. These sandwich are priced from RM6.90 – RM7.90, add another RM1 for green tea/ red tea to make up a healthy and wholesome set meal.
We tried out their Arnor Chicken Ham, which was delicious. Fresh, fluffy, and warmth wholemeal sandwich bun layered with ham, cheese, onions, tomato, lettuce and cucumber, lightly seasoned with pepper and mayonaise. Mouthful of texture.
Drinks menu is extensive too, from yougurt series to tea series, aloe vera, milk tea, smoothies, QQ series and special mixed series. Priced from RM4.90 to RM6.90.
Green tea float (RM6.50)
Thick, milky, green tea flavour loaded drink topped over with green tea ice cream and red beans. oh-so-green-tea. Definitely a must have for green tea lovers.
