Wake up and smell the coffee at Vernakular Bangsar!
With Summerkid having to work 7 days a week so often nowadays, cafe hopping become something precious to us as compared to last time.
Woke up early last Saturday to visit this much-talked-about new shop in Telawi Bangsar, Vernakular Cafe.
Vernakular is actually a concept store and experiential retail space, focus on timepieces. The main area is dedicated to a wide collection of well-crafted watches – carefully selected from independent and micro-brands.
They have a small corner that serves drinks and dessert, where watch enthusiasts and collectors can come together to share about their thoughts and knowledge in this industry. But at here, they do hope to create a place of life, for everyone to experience, be creative, stay inspired.
So, drop by to explore watches and have a cup of Joe – this unassuming cafe is a little gem for nice coffee. Currently Vernakular Cafe offers Ethiopia Guji Shakisso Single Origin and Braizil & Indonesia House Blend for white and black coffee; Ethiopia Gomoro Adola & Ethiopia Gelgelu Edema for V60 pour over coffee.
Had long black and hot latte, accompanied with one of their best selling desserts S’more Brownies. Enjoy the brownies while it is warmth, so you get the soft, gooey marshmallow that goes really well with rich, chocolat-y brownies. Other sweet treats you can have here includes Matcha Loaf, Coconut Cake with Pecan & Cranberry, Lemon & Poppy Seed Loaf, Homemade Caneles, Nutella & Pecan Brownies, Seasalt Brownies. Price range from RM8 – RM13.
Coffee is good so we “add-on” another order of brewed coffee, and had a short talk with the barista over the counter. He is really friendly and share with us some tips on how to brew coffee at home. Thank you, will be back soon!
