Ebisu Pavilion Hotel Kuala Lumpur Managed by Banyan Tree, one of the latest Japanese restaurants & bars in Bukit Bintang has finally opened its door to the public, welcoming all Japanese food lovers for a memorable gourmet experience in a thoughtfully designed, contemporary dining setting.
Here at Ebisu, expect to enjoy delicacies beyond your usual Japanese fare, as talented chefs seek to entice your tastebuds with Japanese modern fusion twist, at the same time keeping the core of traditional flavours from the Land of Rising Sun.
Thanks to Pavilion Hotel Kuala Lumpur Managed by Banyan Tree, we spent a lovely evening at Ebisu coupled of weeks ago, sampling few highlighted dishes from their specially crafted course menu.
STARTER
Wild Garden Salad with Wakame Seaweed & Tofu Served with Onion Dressing
Began the meal with a light, refreshing starter – crisp, fresh wild garden salad with wakame seaweed and texture-contrasting soft tofu, tossed in tangy, appetizing onion dressing.
STEAMED DISH
Steamed Egg Custard with Crab Sauce “Ebisu Chawanmushi”
Chawanmushi, a highly recommended dish in Ebisu Japanese restaurant. Velvety smooth and easily melt-in-mouth egg custard aside, their chawanmushi is prides for the umami-rich flavours derived from crab sauce made in-house, coupled with mirin, soy sauce, dashi, shiitake mushroom and assorted seafood. A must-try.
GRILLED DISH
Teppanyaki Grilled Salmon Served with Vegetables
Next, Teppanyaki Grilled Salmon from the Grilled Dish selections. Diners can also opt for Saba- Grilled Mackerel with Salt/ Teriyaki Sauce, Gindara- Grilled Cod Fish with Salt/Teriyaki Sauce, Unagi Kabayaki – Grilled Eel with Sweet Soy Sauce and Tori Teriyaki- Grilled Chicken wih Teriyaki Sauce.
SUSHI
Seven Kinds of Sushi Served with Miso Soup
Sushi! Summerkid’s favourite. Had seven types of nigiri and maki sushi for the dinner. From Toro, Chu Toro, Salmon, Amaebi, Hotate, Tako, Uni, Ikura, Yellow Tail, Omelette, Flounder, Sea Bream, Salmon Roe, Salmon Belly and Fried Tofu Skin, try them all and discover your favourite sushi in Ebisu.
DESSERT
Yuzu Ice Cream
Complete our dinner with Yuzu Ice Cream. Just the right dessert to clean our palate, and end the meal in a nice, citrusy-sweet way. Matcha Ice Cream and Sesame Ice Cream are available too.
Adjourned to Whisky Cove Pavilion Hotel Kuala Lumpur to chill, unwind and sip on signature handcrafted cocktails after the dinner. Very nice place, with over hundreds of various regional whiskies to explore on.
