Analog Cafe KL, an underrated cafe in SS17 Subang Jaya that is worth your visit.
Just like The Prep Room in Desa Sri Hartamas and Soul Sacrifice in Desa Pandan, these are few of our favourite neighbourhood cafes that are less crowded, not overly commercialized, but carry lovely cafe vibes, good coffee and hidden signature delights that you don’t get in every place.
Food selections are limited in Analog Cafe, but rest assured, satisfying. They serve pretty good bagels, sourdough waffles and brioche bun – some say it is one of the best in Klang Valley. You can indulge into chicken/beef rice bowl and pasta from 12noon to 2.30PM; while sandwiches, burgers and wraps are available from 2.30PM onwards, which Analog Cafe named it as “Early Dinner Menu”. Price is reasonable, mostly capped below RM20.
They have high ratings for their Soft Scrambled Eggs, Cheddar Cheese, Caramelized Onions, Siracha Mayo in Brioche Bun RM18; as well as Double Beef Patty with Cheddar Cheese, Caramelized Onions, Honey Mustard, Wild Rocket in Brioche Bun RM15 but since we were there in the morning, we had to keep these tempting “after 2.30PM” options in next visit.
Ordered Cheesy B Sourdough Waffles RM15 and it was unexpectedly delicious! Tinge of sourness in between warm, freshly made waffle. Pleasing chewiness, flavours enhanced with bacons bits and Mozarella cheese generously loaded inside the waffle.
Summerkid isn’t a fan of this savoury-sweet-sour treat but if you love sourdough as much as Summergirl, this could be your favourite. #SummergirlRecommend
Toasted Sourdough with Mushroom Ragout RM15 was equally nice too. A bed of mushroom ragout, topped with fluffy soft scrambled eggs, arugula salads and two large pieces of toasted sourdough bread.
The mushroom ragout goes well with the bread, but was a little salty towards the end for us when eat without any pairing. More bread so that we can wipe the plate clean maybe? Hehe.
Needless to say, coffee in Analog Cafe KL is promising. White, black, cold brew, shakerato or filter, go for your favourites. We had latte and cappuccino, RM11 each. Alternatively, tea by pot, kombucha, juices, lemonade, hot chocolate, lemon Early Grey, pomegranate lemonade for non-coffee beverages.
Overall Review of Analog KL: Recommended. Friendly service, quality food, nice coffee. Gonna come back for their baking goodness and old-school-but-look-tasty pastry. And, we recommend their Sourdough Waffles if you love sourdough.
