As much as we love Korean fried chicken, enjoying it with a glass of icy cold beer completes the meal better. This pairing is called “Chimeak”, a popular modern food culture in Korea. Chir Chir Chicken is among the first few Korean restaurants that brought in this awesome experience to KL, allowing Malaysians to indulge into sinfully delicious, crispy fried chicken with bubbly beer. Of course, Chir Chir offers more than that – roasted chicken, salad, cheesy chicken, chicken bibimbap, nest chicken, etc.
Had our second visit to Chir Chir Chicken Factory Malaysia at Pavilion Elite KL last week, sampling few signature dishes from their newly revamped menu. Variants with local palates influence, chicken combi with a twist, and the part we have been looking forward to -versatile chicken portion options for 1 person dining to couple meals, small gathering and party sharing are now available!
Rose Cheese Chiqueen RM33.90, RM60.90 (Double portion)
Started with this Rose Cheese Chiqueen, a cheesy chicken platter that’s going to become cheese lovers’ new favourite! Fried chicken tenders stacked over a bed of fondue cheese, topped with chunky potato wedges and cherry tomatoes, further heaped with mozzarella sauce.
Mix the cheese together to double up the creaminess, coat them thickly over chicken and potato. You’ll like the smooth and gooey goodness in between crispy, succulent bites. Delightful but do order as sharing dish as it can be quite heavy and filling.
Curry Fried Chicken RM30.90, RM56.90(Double portion)
Next, curry fried chicken. Chir Chir creates a whole new flavour for their fried chicken with curry, an idea inspired by Malaysians’ love to this amazing herbs & spices. Fresh chicken, covered in in-house batter, deep fried to golden brown then generously sprinkled with Chir Chir’s very own curry seasoning. Crunchy, mildly spicy, laced with subtle curry leaves aroma. So finger licking good. Don’t mind getting our hands dirty for this fried chicken.
Spicy Chi-Bap RM33.90, RM60.90 (Double Portion)
The only dish on Chir Chir Malaysia menu that comes with rice, as its name implies. Bap means rice in Korean. Tender chunks of lightly fried chicken, flavours liven up by spicy marinade of onion salsa and BBQ Sauce. Served around a bed of seaweed rice, topped with liberal amount of French fries. Toss everything together and we are surprised on how French fries could actually pairs quite well with rice. LOL. The tangy sweet chicken sauce with rather spicy after taste work great in liven up the overall flavours too. Recommended.
Honey Butter Chicken RM24.90, RM52.90 (Double portion)
One of the best sellers on Chir Chir Malaysia menu. Our favourite from the first visit, and still liking it! Chewiness from Korean rice cake, succulent boneless chicken chunks jacketed with crunchy outer layer, moist creaminess from potato – get them all in one mouthful; and not forgetting the honey butter sauce that gives a very matching savoury-sweetness.
Nest Snow RM34.90, RM62.90 (Double Portion)

Pineapple Smoothie RM30.90/jar, RM14.90/glass
Wash down with Grapefruit Yoghurt and Pineapple Smoothie. The former put together ingredients including grapefruit yoghurt, grapfruit and mint leaves for refreshing sips; while the latter is thicker, milky with a mix of pineapple puree, coconut, strawberry, banana and mint leaves. Raspberry Double Smoothie, Mojito Double Smoothie, Agua Double Smoothie are also great to beat the heat with!
