Ibis Style Kuala Lumpur Sri Damansara, one of the latest addition to hotels in Klang Valley, has finally opened in December last year. Being an establishment under AccorHotels Group which also owns popular hotels brands like Sofitel, Mercure, Novotel, Pullman and M Gallery, Ibis Styles certainly needs no further introduction.
When travelling overseas, Ibis family – Ibis Hotel, Ibis Styles Hotel, Ibis Budget Hotel is always a good choice for budget travelers like us, as it provides ultimate comfort at affordable price. All basic needs of a stay get covered, practical yet beyond simplicity thanks to its inviting, unique design.
Same goes to Ibis Styles Sri Damansara. This 3-star hotel surprises us with a charming interior right from the lobby. High ceilings, white walls brighten up with furniture, carpets and decorative items in vibrant colours, forming a cheerful look in whole.

Rooms are all modernly designed, distinguished by Standard Room and Family Suite. A total of 144 rooms, with standard room featuring either 2 single beds or 1 queen bed in 22 square meters space; while for family suite, more spacious at 38 square meters, furnished with 1 queen bed and 1 living room with sofa.
We went for a 2D1N stay cation in this new hotel last week, checking out their Family Suite.
A cozy living room came in sight once we opened door, feels like home.
Huge sofa that is big enough to fit in Summergirl. And yeah, she jumped on it immediately. Just rest and relax, do nothing or watch TV.
A mini workstation adjacent to it, complete with coffee, tea, mug and kettle. The quirky chair with patchwork fabric patterns are what we love most, probably to you too!
Bed, another noteworthy part for Ibis Styles hotels. Not about the size, but the comfy level. It is called Sweet Bed – an innovative in-house bedding designed by the Ibis Research Department. Plump pillows, airy duvet, firm foam mattress with extra-dense 7cm Ibis topper, this custom-made Sweet Bed is prides for its own contemporary cut and style to suite the hotel’s personality, giving coziest sleeping experience. To Ibis, it is important to ensure that each guest having a happy sleep. And they did it!
So, needless to say, our bed is as “sweet” as it is named. So soft and comfortable. We had a nice, deep sleep that night.
The bedroom itself is separated from the living room by two wooden doors. Minimalism design with a rustic touch. All rooms are equipped with 32 inch TV, free Wifi access, toiletries, in-room safety box.
Each stay is inclusive of buffet breakfast for two persons. Breakfast is at Level 2, Streats Cafe, available from 6AM to 10 AM. Basic selections such as salad, nasi lemak, porridge, sausages, baked beans, egg, milk, cereal, bread, fruits, coffee and tea to power up your day.
There is no swimming pool in Ibis Hotel Sri Damansara but if you want to have some work out, there’s a gym room at level 3. Corporate can also book meeting rooms to held events and functions here. Total 3 rooms available, in the size of 80 sqr metres and 20 sqr metres respectively.
At night, chill at Ibis lobby Streats Bar that serves both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. From beers to cocktails and mocktails, pick your favourite.
Overall, we like their room in sleek and chic design with bold colours to exude a energetic vibe. This hotel is ideal for both business travelers and individual travelers looking for a nice stay with economy price. A new MRT station will be completed in near future, hence reaching Ibis Sri Damansara will be convenient, fuss-free soon!
