Glad to be there for a dinner last week, visiting their iconic TRACE restaurant situated on the 40th floor of the hotel. There is only one dining place in Element, but already enough to make it stands out from many other hotel restaurants. A sumptuous menu with a variety of food options from Western-fusion delight to some of the unique cocktails in town.

From 26th May to 24th June 2017, TRACE Restaurant & Bar Element Kuala Lumpur is presenting a month’s long Warisan Rempah Ratus buffet dinner treat, bringing to the table a well-balanced spice infused menu prepared by talented Executive Chef Hashrul and his team.
An extensive selection of local, Chinese, Western and Japanese inspired-cuisines will filled up the buffet line in the form of live action sections to BBQ grill, hot plate, pizza, noodles, salad, claypot, soup and more. So get ready for a memorable sky dining experience.
Whet your appetite with refreshing greens and kerabu such as Spiced Marinated Prawn Paste Roulade in Rice Paper with Fresh Mango Salad and Anchovies, Overnight Cured Sliced Beef with Cumin, Coriander and Candlenet, Roasted Beef Salad and French Beans and Cockles Salad. Continue to pile the plate with Chili-Lime Prawn, Freshly Shucked Pacific Oyster, Coarse Chilli, Garlic with Scallion Mussel and not to forget sushi, maki roll and sashimi.
For the extra oomph in the taste buds, head to the Lesung Batu Mak Wan corner and enjoy various types of sweet-inducing spicy sambal, from Sambal Belacan to Sambal Belacan Nenas, Sambal Belacan Mangga Muda, Sambal Rawit, Sambal Tempoyak, Sambal Budu, Sambal Cencalok and Sambal Kelapa.
Hot dishes section features classic all-time-favourite such as Peha Kambing Bumbu Jawa Barongan with Briyani Rice, Aroma Aneka Ikan Panggang Daun Kunyit, Sup Rempah Utara Malatop and Assam Pedas Ikan Sembilang Seri Mersing, amongst others.
Do not leave the this buffet at Element Kuala Lumpur without trying their Nasi Ambeng Ayam Rempah Nusantara – star of all. Chicken toasted with cumin, corriander seed, glazed with honey and topped with homemade spicy sauce beautifully arranged together with rice, fried noodles, fried silver fish and tempeh. So much flavours and textures.
Keep some space for dessert. Malay kuih, homemade chocolate lave cake, signature carrot lava cake, sticky dates pudding, pengat pisang and more are worth a try. By the end of the buffet, diners can pick their own ground spices according to chef’s secret recipe, and replicate his signature dishes at home!
