a’Roma Dinings Restaurant Taman Paramount Petaling Jaya, an Italian dining spot that is worth your visit asides from the ever popular O&S Kopitiam, Choon Prawn Mee and XO Fish Head Noodles located same row with it. Come for delicious Italian food, stay for remarkable wine range, and perhaps, special DJ performance on weekends night.
Menu for a’Roma Dinings doesn’t appear in encyclopedia’s thickness, but more focus by putting together core dishes that well -represent authentic Italian cuisine. Affordable price, hearty portion, with no compromise on quality. They hold on the philosophy to source best ingredients possible, preparing most items from scratch. For instance, instead of using store-bought, pasta is freshly made daily using sophisticated pasta machine that believes to be the same as the one Jamie Oliver is using. Cool huh.
Cappuccino, Flat White
We visited the place last weekend, and was surprised to find that a’Roma Dinings offer value Set Lunch 7 days a week, from 12PM to 4PM. A satisfying set that covers soup of the day, main course and iced lemon tea, only RM29.90. Add RM5 for Degayo coffee or Harney & Sons tea. Currently, they are using medium to dark roasted Indonesian blend, 100% Arabica coffee beans.
Soup of the Day
Lunch started fibrous, with smooth, really thick in consistency pumpkin soup – a sign that plenty of real pumpkin puree is used. Added with swirls of cream, served with a slice of toasted bread.
Shallow-fried Oat Crumb Flounder Fillet
For main course, diners can choose from Linguine Vongole, Fettuccine Pancetta, Penne Rustica with Pork Meatball, Shallow-fried Oat Crumb Flounder Fillet, Pork Bratwurst with Mashed Potatoes, Grilled Chicken Escalope. Selections might change from time to time so that you get to enjoy more varieties. Summerkid had Shallow-fried Oat Crumb Flounder Fillet, and it arrived in a portion that was so much bigger than expected.
Oat crumb coated, deep fried to golden brown to achieve crispy outer layer, contrasting the fillet in lean and firm texture. Served over a bed of roasted potato wedges. Jicama aioli is big love, as it helps to balance up the entire flavours with refreshing crunch.
Quesadilla with Bacon
Quesadilla with Bacon, new item on a’Roma Dinings lunch menu. Pizza in quesadilla style, stuffed with bacon, mushroom, spicy sauce, pickled pepper and melted cheese. For small eater, this is enough to feed two.
Insalata Caesar RM30
Add-on Insalata Caesar salad from ala-carte menu. Romaine lettuce, Milano salami slivers, bacon chips, soft boiled egg, large croutons tossed in homemade caesar emulsion, plenty of texture and flavours all in one plate.
Tiramisu RM23
End the meal with all-time-favourite Italian dessert, Tiramisu. Homemade with sponge fingers soaked in DeGayo espresso, layered with mascarpone cream, cocoa powder and dark chocolate sauce. Complete with sliced strawberry for extra tang, crushed nuts and biscuits for more bites.
