Pretz n’ Beanz Cafe, the pretzel specialist that serves one of the best pretzels in KL just turned two! Congratulations! In conjunction with this special day, they threw a party in Bangsar outlet, gathering everyone to celebrate their 2-year-old with discounts, promotions and fun activities. Also, it marks a new chapter for Pretz n’ Beanz as the cafe revamped their menu with more delightful dishes to satisfy your palate, plus their central kitchen is now HALAL certified!
While keeping customers’ all-time-favourite pretzel flavours, namely Original, Plain, Cinnamon Sugar, Sesame Sugar, Seaweed, Poppy Seeds, Basil Cheese, Parmesan Cheese and Chocolate Cookie Crunch in the pretzel list, Pretz n’ Beanz goes extra miles by giving focus on dipping sauce this time, introducing 4 new sauces in both sweet and savoury – Satay Sauce, Tomato Salsa, Cheddar Cheese Dip, Praline Hazelnut/Nutella.
Regular Tower – 12 mini plain pretzels, 9 dipping sauce RM35.
Give these new dipping sauces a try at additional RM2.10 on top of your Anything Pretzel. Or, order a Pretzel Tower that piled up delicious Mini Plain Pretzels, then flavoured them up with your favourite sauce – Cream Cheese, Caramel, Chocolate Sauce, Passion Fruit Jam, Sour Cream Onion,Satay Sauce, Tomato Salsa, Cheddar Cheese Dip, Praline Hazelnut/Nutella. Mini Tower offers 6 mini plain pretzel with choice of 4 dipping sauce at RM19; Regular Tower has 12 mini plain pretzels, complete with 9 dipping sauce at RM35.
For the sweet, we enjoyed Passion Fruit Dip for its sharp tangy fruitiness while for savoury, Satay Sauce is definitely worthwhile, chunky with BBQ sweetness.
Flipping through the menu further, we discover Mini Pretzel Platter that put together a basket of their baking goodness in smaller pretzel size, 4 or 8 pieces, choose from 8 flavours. We called it the S size pretzel, great for those who loves trying out different taste in one go. Saw L size GIANT pretzel at the price of RM10.50 for 2 flavours too! Wonder how big it will be like, already eager to check it out in our next visit.
Teriyaki Chicken Pizza RM15.50/7″, RM26.50/10″
Apart from pretzel, a visit to Pretz n Beanz is incomplete without giving a try to their Pretzel Pizza, first ever in Malaysia. More than 10 toppings, from classic Chicken Hawaiian, Pepperoni Beef, Ala Caprese, Al-funghi to more creative Flammkuchen with Beef Brisket, Hot Pepper Chilli Chicken and the latest addition Tom Yum Seafood, Smoked Salmon and Teriyaki Chicken Pretzel Pizza. Two sizes – 7″ and 10″, priced within 13.50 to RM26.50.
Tom Yam Seafood Pizza RM16.50/7″, RM24.50/10″
Tom Yam Seafood Pizza – A tasty makeover for this popular Thai flavour, concocted into non-spicy version, but not short of herbs and spices aroma. Smoked Salmon Pizza is highly recommended. Combination of sour cream sauce, smoked salmon, dry basil, yellow onion slices and mozzarella cheese are just so right with their doughy, thick pizza base..
Smoked Salmon Pizza RM16.50/7″, RM26.50/10″
Each “twisted knot” and pizza is 100% natural, freshly baked upon order for a chewy soft, non-oily texture. Go original, go filled or go pizza way, Pretz n’ Beanz doesn’t disappoint. Of all, Summergirl has always been a huge fan of their filled pretzel, especially Sweet Potato Pretzel and Apple Cinnamon Pretzel flavours. Smoked Salmon Pizza is new love LOL.
Pretzel and pizza can easily be the highlight, but other main courses such as spaghetti and breakfast platters are not shadowed too, and is getting more extensive. Trace down children-friendly Mixed Cereals Bowls, Asian style chicken porridge, Country Slice Egg Benedict, Royale Salmon Egg Benedict, Super Big Breakfast for all-day-breakfast, and Grilled Fish with Creamy Sauce, Aglio Olio Spaghetti, Chicken Burger, Fish & Chips, Cheesy Mushroom Chicken Baked Rice on the all-day-dining menu.
Spicy Corned Beef Spaghetti RM21.50
Pretz n’ Beanz has added 6 new spaghetti to the food list, namely Beef Carbonara Spaghetti, (RM18.50) Spicy Corned Beef Spaghetti (RM21.50), Duck Confit Spaghetti (RM18.50), Spaghetti Prawn Marinara (RM22.50), Spaghetti Meatball Marinara (RM17.50), Spaghetti Cajun Chicken Marinara (RM17.50).
Duck Confit Spaghetti RM18.50
We sampled Corned Beef Spaghetti and Duck Confit Spaghetti, and is pretty surprise with the later. Taking the advantage of Duck Confit itself, which is already full flavour, get it shredded, de-bone, and tossed with spaghetti in aglio olio-style with sun dried tomato, minus the spiciness. Sounds fancy, something you don’t get in all restaurants, but somehow more towards a comfort food to us. Believe it can easily becoming the crowd favourite in Pretz n’ Beanz.
To welcome the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival in Jolly Jelly way, Pretz n’ Beanz has come up with refreshing jelly mooncakes for the first time, crafted in mango and red bean flavours. Only RM24.50 per box of 2 pieces, available until 15th September 2016. You are entitled to 10% off on 2nd box, and 15% on 3rd onwards. (T&C applies).
