Kampai Yakiniku at Bamboo Hills – make your Japanese yakiniku session more memorable with premium Japanese wagyu from Tokushima, Japan
First time in Bamboo Hills – the latest dining destination in KL with a well-planned landscape for its 16-acre site, surrounded by lush greenery, and also home for some of the most beautiful restaurants in town. We’ve chosen to dine at Kampai Yakiniku. Glad that it didn’t disappoint. In fact, it was such a wonderful dinner, beyond our expectation.
Kampai Yakiniku takes pride in serving premium Halal-certified wagyu source all the way from Tanifuji Farm in Tokushima, Japan. Tanifuji Farm is an experienced establishment who has been specializing in Japanese Black Cattle Beef since 1960, also working on a consistent business from breeding, fattening, butchering, processing to distribution. Their authentic Japanese Beef is raised in the natural environment of Higashi Miyoshi-cho Tokushima Prefecture, located in the middle Yoshino-gawa River which naturally flows down from the mountains. Stress-free butchering method is used, to ensure the meat itself does not become strained, maintaining its great quality. This explains why their Japanese wagyu is so delicious – a true luscious in every bite.
The restaurant boasts a spacious, semi-open dining space, with a design and decoration that makes you feel like you have been transported to Japan. From the iconic torii right in front of the entrance to a wall of Japanese lanterns that make a photography-worthy backdrop, corner that recreates Japanese street stalls scene, and the mini version of The Glico Running Man at Dotonbori Osaka – all this little touch adds lively vibes to the entire ambience.
For food, Kampai Yakiniku menu currently has two choices. One is 120minutes eat-all-you-can with unlimited Akami (selected parts) at the price of RM199++ and Ala-carte Buffet at the price of RM299++. While another is normal ala-carte dining.

We sampled few items from the menu, including 5 Kinds of Meat, Beef Tongue, Combo Seafood Mix Platter and Wagyu Fried Rice.
Tomosankaku
Katasankaku
Kainomi
Ribeye Cap
Oyster Blade – Misuji
5 Kinds of Meat – Kainomi, Ribeye Cap, Katasankaku, Tomosankaku, Oyster Blade – Misuji. Our favourite? Misuji! It is a precious part of beef, so precious that it is sometimes called “phantom part”. Rich and sweet, high fat content, almost melt-in-the mouth. We even forgot to take a picture of it after that because we can’t wait to taste it right away!
Sizzling, Grilling, Beautiful Marbling.. can’t wait to tuck in all these lovely meat!
Apart from wagyu beef, Kampai Yakiniku also offers seafood like Tiger Prawn, Scallop in Shell, Norway Salmon Fillet, and Jumbo Squid. Go for the combo platter if you want to try a bit of everything.
You can order appetizer, salad, namul, small bites such as Wagyu Gyoza, French Fries, Chicken Karaage, Prawn Tempura, Edamane, Pickles Pumpkin Sliced marinated with Sour Plum, KAMPAI Signature Chanja, etc.., for a merrier Yakiniku session.
