Wagasa Yakiniku, a Japanese Yakiniku restaurant in Bukit Jalil that takes pride in serving Japanese A5 Wagyu from Kagoshima prefecture, as well as Karobuta Pork.
While Rinjin Shokudo and Say Cheese Cafe are the two more popular neighbourhood restaurants in The Link 2, Bukit Jalil, we found another pretty good restaurant in this area, named Wagasa Yakiniku.
Opened since November 2021, Wagasa Yakiniku has slowly gaining popularity among Japanese Yakiniku lovers in KL, offering a menu that highlights Japanese A5 Wagyu from Kagoshima prefecture. The restaurant’s name is inspired from oil-paper umbrella, which is also known as wagasa (Japanese: 和傘, “Japanese umbrella”).
What makes Wagasa Yakiniku stands out is, other than Japanese wagyu, they also serve Karobuta Pork and seafood for a merrier grilling session. The best part – each table get 8 types of side dishes. Refillable.
We had the Japanase A5 Wagyu Shoulder Clod Set (RM388, 300g). A variety of Japanese A5 Wagyu cut from should clod, featuring Kata Sankaku, Tougarashi, Ninoude, Ko Sankaku, Uwa Misuji.
Our personal favourite are Ko Sankaku, Uwa Misuji. Lean cut, but tender. You can choose to grill on your own, or just sit back, relax as friendly staff helps out on the grilling.
Other than grilled meat, you can also have appetizers and hot food such as Chicken Karaage, Ebi Tempura, Gyoza, Seafood Pancake, Vegetable Pancak, Agedashi Tofu, Edamame, Seafood Clear Soup. Small selection, but make up a more substantial meal.
