eslite Malaysia 诚品生活吉隆坡 has finally here to greet you, at The Starhill Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur.
The wait is over. Taiwan’s famous cultural and creative brand, eslite, which has been recognized by CNN as one of “the 14 Coolest Department Stores in the World,” has finally unveiled its first Southeast Asia store – eslite spectrum Kuala Lumpur, at The Starhill Bukit Bintang, Malaysia.
Founded in 1989, eslite currently has 45 points of sale around Taiwan and also in Hong Kong, mainland China and Japan. The group has 3.3 million members globally and records 200 million unique customer visits annually. Visitors enjoy year-round arts and culture activities, including 5,000 lectures, themed exhibitions and musical performances. For more than 30 years, eslite has engaged in hybrid innovation “Books, and Everything in between.”. eslite believes that digital innovation will bring boundless potential in delivering cultural and creative content and the spirit of the place to provide readers and customers with beautiful reading and creative lifestyle experiences.
As the first flagship store in Southeast Asia, eslite Kuala Lumpur will be a journey of exploration for everyone. The space is set to have 4 different sections for a voyage through four cities, including City of Arches, City of Rippling Waves, City of Eternal Day, The Floating City. It is inspired by a fictional novel called ” Invisible Cities” by Italo Calvino, which explores the 55 fiction cities through the description by an explorer, Marco Polo, to the emperor Kublai Khan.
SECTION A
City of Arches
City of Arches is the most important, central space of this store, symbolized by the ample warmth of the red bricks from which it is built. With abundant content for reading, it offers its calm, classical spaces as part of the city’s heritage for the future.
eslite bookstore Malaysia features a combination of multilingual publications, welcoming readers from different backgrounds to appreciate the beauty of humanities, art, creativity with books, and everything in between.
There is also a Small Living Room – with design copied from a corner in Mr. Robert Wu, the founder’s study room. Readers are welcome to make themselves home at this area.
SECTION B
City of Rippling Waves
The varied materials, lines and shapes of the City of Ripping Waves create an urban space full of personality, gleaming like light shining on waves with tis rich selection of designer clothing. Browse through an extensive design selections, clothing, accessories, fragrances, personal care, home decorations, themed concept store and casual fashion items here.

City of Eternal Day
With its illuminated white ceiling, the bright, open space of City of Eternal Day embodies exciting contemporary design, making it a fashionable space in the city.
eslite writing boutique – like a hidden speakeasy bar within a busy city. Find out the narrow and easily-missed entrance! The eslite writing boutique focuses on exquisite office stationery, including well-known international brands with a long history like Caran d’ache from Switzerland, Kaweco from Germany and many more. In Malaysia eslite writing boutique, shoppers are welcomed to experience the finer quality of writing tools from various selected brands and enjoy a very different writing experience. The boutique is equipped with unique, exquisite, classic, fashionable pieces, adding sophistication and elegance to society.

The Floating City

Finally reached The Catwalk – our favorite spot at eslite Kuala Lumpur. Based on the concept ” Theatre in Market”, the Catwalk circle running above The Floating City is designed as a “backstage” in a lively market place. Imagine you are peeking through the layered designs for “behind-the-scenes”.

Singing Jimmy
Whether you are a fan of Jimmy Liao or not, do not miss out Jimmy’s exhibition at eslite spectrum Kuala Lumpur, from 15 December 2022 until 28 February 2023. Jimmy Liao is known for his imaginative images and delicate illustrative drawings weaving together a painterly world, simple yet with strong emotions. His poetic narrative style, liberating picture books, is widely acclaimed all over the world. This solo exhibition by Jimmy invites you to come and listen to the melodic artistic symphony conducted by Jimmy with this expressive pen that soothes the mind and body.
