Limone Bukit Damansara KL, an underrated French Patisserie that serves really good dessert and savory main course. We didn’t expect much during our visit, but turned out food here is really delicious.
Located at Plaza Zurich, same row with The Hub Coffee, Limone highlights a concept of ” brunch under the lemon tree”, inspired from the founder’s trip in Europe. Despite The FIVE @PKD, which houses Feeling+, Yellow Brick Road, Nourish by Kenny Hills Bakers, and soon opening Feeka and Pizza Mansion serves as a more happening dining spot, we actually highly recommend you guys to check this place out too. For parking, we park at The FIVE @PKD and walk over.
Spicy Seafood Squid Ink Pasts RM38
Cafe Limone carries a small menu, with around 20 dishes for now but each item is carefully curated, ensuring the best taste and quality possible. Choose from Eggs on Toast, Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict, Summer Salad, Spinach Pumpkin Salad to Spaghetti Mushroom Alfredo, Spicy Spaghetti Aglio Alio, Spicy Seafood Squid Ink Pasta, Salmon Teriyaki Poke Bowl, Chicken Percik Poke Bowls, Chicken Teriyaki Poke Bowl, Vegan Poke Bowl, Avo Sandwich, Smoked Salmon Sourdough, Grilled Chicken Sando, Vegan Sandwich Sourdough, Smoked Salmon Sourdough, Egg Mayo Sando, Vegan Sandwich Sourdough.
Smoked Salmon Egg Benedict RM36 – Two round, fluffy brioche bun topped with mushroom, roasted tomato, smoked salmon, poached egg, signature Hollandaise sauce. It has been a while since we had such beautifully prepared poached egg, with firm white and runny egg yolk. Recommended.
Salmon Teriyaki Poke Bowls RM34 – A colourful combination of cucumber, carrot, edamame, pea sprout, seaweed, quinoa, tempeh, beetroot, salmon, teriyaki sauce and brown rice. Wholesome meal, hearty portion. They have Vegan Poke Bowl with plant-based meat rendang too.
Do not leave without trying Limone dessert. Both the founders are talented dessert chefs, with years of experiences in the industry. For Limone’s dessert, one of the elements the team wants to highlight is their creative sweet treat infused with local flavours, such as The Kebaya RM21 – A Pandan Mousse cake with Coconut Rice Pudding and Fresh Mango. Our favorite too.
Limone RM21 is their best seller, also a signature cake that well-represents the name of the cafe. And, it tastes as good as it looks. Smooth and soft layers of lemon curd and cream cheese mousse, delightful in every bite, not too sweet. Trust us, you won’t want to share.
Pink Pistache with Pistachio Mousse and Berries RM24 are worth trying too. Or you can have Tokyo Garden – Lemon Yuzu Tart with Lemon Yuzu Curd and Almond Cream; Cerise Noire – Chocolate Mousse, Vanilla Creme, Cherry; Daisy Cake with a Fresh Yougurt Cream,; Amour Dámande – Fresh Fruit Tart with Almond Custard Cream, Raspberry Jam, Fresh Berries; and Le Cocotier – Coconut Cake with Passion Fruit and Pineapple. Being small eaters, we usually share a cake during cafe hopping but at Limone, we managed to finish two desserts after having main course, and yet didn’t feel cloying at all. Can’t wait to return and sample the rest.
