Opening on 31 August 2022, M Resort & Hotel Kuala Lumpur has fast become one of the most popular KL destinations for weekend staycation, short getaway, events, meetings as well as corporate functions.
This well-connected, 5-star urban resort is strategically located in the green belt of Damansara, right next to the Kelab Golf Perkhidmatan Awam (KGPA).
The name of this new establishment is inspired by the first letter of our country name, to pay homage to our distinct location blessed with rich natural resources, also to celebrate M Resort & Hotel as a homegrown brand, proudly operated by Malaysians. If you look at the design of the logo, you will find that it is made up of two 人, which means people in Chinese. Therefore, M also signifying a space where people get together, welcomed with great hospitality.
Really glad that Summerkid finally has a weekend off from his daytime commitment, and there we go, off for a weekend escape in this latest hidden oasis in the city.
We were literally gazed in awe the moment we step into the lobby – such a grand, stunning showpiece. High ceiling, light-filled space with appealing designs, showcasing great lengths in contemporary architecture implementation.
And the hotel’s attractive interior doesn’t end there. In fact, it is beautiful at every corner, be it outdoor pool, meeting rooms, guest rooms, lounge area, all-day-dining restaurant, common space, kid’s playroom, etc..
For stay, M Resort & Hotel has a total of 385 guestrooms and suites that reflect the city’s distinctly cosmopolitan charm with functional layouts. From Standard Room that offers a perfect base with the essentials for a snug, basic stay; Superior Room that highlights simplified luxury; Deluxe Room that is a cozy haven that exudes discreet opulence; to the Executive Suite that is exquisitely designed, with unique embellishments.

Shiny, polished black marble tiles coupled with wooden floorings, further enliven with round dining tables, custom wardrobes, coffee table with leather details, wall art, couch and upholstery made to match. Bold, elegant atmosphere, yet evokes a sense of home-like relaxation.

Went for a walk around the resort after settling down. Huge outdoor free-form swimming pool with a “hive”-shaped water slide – another centerpiece of M Resort & Hotel.

Weather was hot and sunny with lovely blue sky when we arrived, but not towards evening where heavy downpour began. Felt slightly disappointment as we couldn’t use the swimming pool slide.
So we went to M Lounge for light snack and coffee, while waiting for cocktail session at 5.30PM.
M lounge offers an elevated affair reserved for guests staying in Executive Suites, where they can enjoy following services and facilities which included:

-Welcome drink upon arrival
-Complimentary late check out or early check in, subject to availability
-Coffee, tea, and soft drinks throughout the day
-Evening cocktails an hors d’oeuveres from 5.30PM – 7.00PM daily

Dinner at Fairway Coffee House, where a wide variety of local and international cuisines are served. Our favourites are fresh shucked oysters, Chinese Soup, seafood on ice, chicken tikka, fish head curry, and dessert – which we usually pay least attention to but surprisingly, Fairway Coffee House churns out an array of delectable sweet treats! Crème Brulee, cheesecake, bread & butter pudding, tiramisu, banana mousse cake are some of the must-try.
Hive Bar & Lounge- for afternoon tea, invigorating cocktails, mocktails and fresh juices.
You can choose to sit at the al-fresco area amid verdant foliage, or indoor settings which is more laid-back, cozy. There’s also a live performance during our visit on Saturday night.
Other facilities around M Resort & Hotel are the Motion Gym, M Spa, and Kid’s Club – very thoughtful set up for family with kids.
Overall, we truly enjoy our stay at M Resort & Hotel Kuala Lumpur. It is so relaxing and chilling that we almost we forget we are actually still in KL. Looking forward to return for another staycation at this beautiful place in near future.
