This beautiful place is especially happening in the evening, with friends and family come together for gathering, hanging out for casual chill & dine. What we love most is the ease of parking here. Visited Butty Boy Cooks last Friday for dinner. We have been hearing so much about Butty Boy Cooks, a restaurant in modern industrial design, serving Thai-inspired and Western delights. Initially we thought that they serve only cafe food like Big Breakfast and Egg Benedict but the menu actually covers more than these. Selections are really interesting and worthwhile, incorporated with seafood that is set to please.
Tried their best-selling Mama’s Boy Seafood Noodle Soup with Udang Galah, great for the rainy days. Mama noodle in fiery hot, spicy red tom yum soup, comes with huge, fresh udang galah. Browsing through Butty Boy Cooks menu, we found that they highlights a variety of Udang Galah dishes, from Yum Mama’s Boy Seafood Dry Noodle with Udang Galah to Tomyam Seafood Glass Noodle with Udang Galah, Pad Thai Seafood with Udang Galah, Thai BBQ Udang Galah, Tom Kha Coconut Seafood Soup with Udang Galah, Red Tom Yam Seafood Soup with Udang Galah, Steamed Udang Galah, Signature Thermidor Udang Galah with Stuffed Roll, Tomyum Seafood Squid Ink Pasta with Udang Galah, Signature Seafood Aglio Olio with Udang Galah. There’s even a Mambo Jumbo Caesar Salad with Udang Galah.
If you prefer the classic Thai dish, Butty Boy Cooks doesn’t disappoint. Pad Kra Pao Chicken, Thai Fish Cake, Pandan Chicken, Pad Thai Chicken, Tom Yam Chicken Soup, Thai Pineapple Fried Rice, Tom Yam Fried Rice, Thai-style Omelette Onion, Salted Egg Sotong, Dry Buttermilk Prawns, Green Curry Chicken and more, are all on the list.
For Western delicacies, we personally recommend their Fish & Chips. 3 types of fish to choose from – Ocean Perch that is moist, medium-firm; Hoki from New Zealand, with moist, delicate firm and tender chese; and Haddock from Norway, strong flavour white fish with soft, tender and meaty flesh.
We had the Ocean Perch, and it comes in a super generous portion with fries, huge enough to share among 2 pax. Beautifully deep fried to golden brown, so delicious. RM37 is definitely price-worthy.
We also shared a Salted Egg Margherita Thin Crust Pizza, another must-try dish in Butty Boy Cooks. Crispy thin crust base, generously toppped with salted egg and cheese. Thin and easy to eat, but actually quite filling too. Summergirl happily ate 4 pieces and felt so full after that. Other creative fusion pizza flavour you can have here including Kam Heong Lala Thin Crust Pizza, Truffle Prawn Thin Crust Pizza, Pandan Chicken Thin Crust Pizza, Pad Kra Pao Thin Crust Pizza, Tom Yam Prawn Thin Crust Pizza.
Overall, a nice dinner at Butty Boy Cooks. They also have live music performance on certain days, from 7.30PM onwards. Planning to return for their oyster (*They have Kumamoto and Pacific Oysters!), pasta and wine. Suggest to make a reservation before you come, as the restaurant is quite packed during dinner time.
