We have been hearing so much about LUCE Osteria Contemporanea, an Italian restaurant that has been critically acclaimed for being one of the TOP 50 best Pizzerias in all of Asia and the best in Malaysia.
LUCE Osteria is like a hidden secret for many Italian food lovers, located at the culinary hub of Old Malaya – which also houses worthwhile restaurant such as Manja, Pampas, Canvass, Pier12. Luce borrows its name and inspiration from the warm lights of imported Pizza wood-fire oven and the bright lights of KL Tower at its very doorstep. In other words, with such highlights, you will not be disappointed with Italian pizza serves here – a menu proudly lists down 55 home-made pizzas, alongside with a selections of classic and rustic Italian dishes. Coffee, cocktails & wines are available at Luce Bar too. Not to forget, a view of the iconic KL Tower.

Had Mixed Wild Mushroom Soup and Beef Carpaccio. When we order Beef Carpaccio, most of the time it is for sharing. It feels good to have a whole plate of Beef Carpaccio that is just right for 1pax. Mushroom soup is good too, just the right option to warm up the tummy before the main course. Go for the salad, if you want to start healthy.

Coming to main course, we didn’t expect the portion to be so hearty, beautifully plated too. Picked risotto and fish, as we aren’t a fan of tomato sauce base dishes. And oh-wow, LUCE Italian risotto so delicious. Right texture, accompanied by porcini mushroom ragout that builds up the pleasing creaminess, complexity and rich flavours.

Topped with Passion Fruit Sauce and Strawberry
One each for the dessert. Lemon Ice Cream came just nice to end the meal in a light, refreshing way. While for pannacotta, must-try! Jiggly smooth, flavours elevated with sweet, tangy touch from passion fruits.

Due to our daytime commitment, our Set Lunch is usually in the mall, and always fail to impress. But we are really like this Italian Set Lunch from LUCE Osteria Contemporanea. Despite the selections are classic, but a great switch from the usual options. The taste, quality, and portion speak for themselves. Doesn’t matter you go for the 2-course of 3-course, both would be satisfying. Will definitely return again for their pizza! Can’t wait!
