Core by The Mechanic, another cafe in Cheras that we have always wanted to visit. Heard that it was quite crowded when they first opened, so we decided to wait for the hype fades away a little before dropping by, on a Monday. It was a calm, cozy morning, great for a cuppa with brunch in a clean, minimalism setting.
Finally here at this front facade that appears most frequently on Core by The Mechanic’s Instagram location check-in.
Coffee is a must here, black, white, cold brew or filtered, you decide.
Core by The Mechanic menu has probably the cutest description, easily put smile on your face by just reading through – NAM YU PORK| order larr, very nice one; CALAMARI |dont call it sotong; GREEN SALAD |so healthy; SIEW HENG |who is siew heng; CURRY IKAN | nice, very nice; BIG BREAKFAST | da zao can ( *chuckle); just to name a few.
Had BACON AND CHEESE SANDWICH – Layer of toast, streaky bacon, cheese, toast, topped with bechamel sauce and a sunny side up. Nice, but very filling as well. Suggest to share it if you are a small eater.
Check out those pretty- looking sweet treat lined up at the dessert counter too, in case you want to have something sweet to end the meal. We’ll keep it for the next round.
