Shabu-yo Sunway Velocity: Eat-all-you-can Shabu-shabu and Japanese Sukiyaki

Shabu-yo, one of the largest eat-all-you-can shabu-shabu and Japanese sukiyaki restaurant chains from Japan is finally opening in Malaysia, having their first outlet in Sunway Velocity, Cheras, also the first Shabu-yo store in South East Asia.

Modern Japanese-style dining interior, high quality meat cuts, fresh vegetables and signature side dishes, expect a lovely, delicious shabu-shabu experience in Shabu-yo.

There are 3 types of all-you-can-course to choose from, differ by meat types you can order throughout the 120 minutes of buffet session:

Price chart for adults & children (Lunch & dinner)

Pork & Chicken Course is the most basic option, where you can eat your heart out on pork collar, pork belly, chicken, tsukune and dumpling. For Beef, Pork & Chicken Course, you can have beef chuck roll, beef karubi, pork collar, pork belly, chicken, tsukune and dumpling.  For Australian Wagyu Beef, Pork & Chicken course, you get to enjoy all types of meat available on the menu.

After deciding your course, choose two types of soup – Chicken & Pork Soup, Japanese Amber Soup, Yuzu Soup, Mala Soup or Sukiyaki Soup.

Chicken & Pork Soup – Dashi soup base with goji berries, goes well with chicken and pork
Yuzu Soup – Dashi soup base, seasoned with salt and flavoured with Yuzu for a refreshing taste.
Sukiyaki Soup – Japanese sukiyaki, recommended for beef course.
Japanese Amber Soup – common in Japan, pairs well with sauce & condiment
Mala Soup – For spicy lovers, with sansho and chilli peppers as main ingredients. Goes well with beef.

Orders can be placed through tablet available at each table. Once you have done submitting your order, it is time to fill your plate up with hotpot ingredients from the buffet counter, and help yourself with hot food of the day such as chicken karaage, french fries, garlic fried rice and not to forget – Shabu-yo ever popular Japanese curry.

Pretty impress with the sauces & condiment choices. Over 30 types of them. If you are not sure how to mix & match, fret not, Shabu-yo has their very own recommended concoction:

Ponzu Sauce + Grated Radish +  Spring Onion
Japanese sauce + grated ginger + spring onion + roasted sesame
Sha ra sa su sauce + sha ra nyou ro sauce + mince garlic + Chinese parsley + spring onion + lime + crushed peanuts
Onion sauce + fried onion + spring onion
