Last week, we came across a video “Uncage. Awaken Your Courage”, which features the stories of ImCheah, Jun Chan, and Herukh Jethwani – three Malaysian uncaged heroes from the culinary industry who found the courage to pursue their dreams. The video linked us to something we have been looking forward to – Tiger Uncage Street Food Festival!
We first heard about Tiger Street Food Festival when our friends from Singapore shared with us their visit to the event. It was held in Singapore last June, an evening that celebrated all things about delicious local street food pairing with icy cold Tiger beer, and lots of fun activities.
It was a memorable and successful event. So we thought, how cool if Malaysia has this festival too. And yay! It is happening soon in Malaysia too! In less than a month!
Famous eateries such as myBurgerLab, Porki Society, Ticklish Ribs &’wiches, Makirito Sushi Burito, Prawn Noodle King 蝦面王, Softsrve, Pho King, Butaya Izakaya and more will be joining this special festival, churning out sumptuous delicacies for a tasty-licious experience.
You’ll get to indulge into your favourite street delights, together with Malaysia’s No.1 Beer – Tiger Beer!

Also, in line with “Uncaged Heroes” campaign, there’ll be a highlight of unconventional street food crafted by Tiger Beer Uncage Heroes – Im, Herukh and Jun. They will set to surprise your taste buds with dishes in new flavours & ingredients combination, such as…
..Burger that uses ramen to replace the bun, beautifully layered up with juicy patty, fresh lettuce, tomato slices and the star of the burger – Tiger Beer Cheddar Cheese Sauce!
Also, “Main Bola” that put together minced brisket meatball, dressed in sweet potato gravy with belacan sofrito, topped with poached egg and finished with salted egg crumble!
Other than that, Bacon and Sambal Ikan Bilis Popcorn, Bacon Ice Cream and Banana Fritters topped with Gula Melaka, Mini Tandoori Pork Ribs Tacos sautéed in Crispy Prawn Chilli, Garlic & Curry Leaves Dish, Siew Yoke Briyani and so forth will also be “making an appearance” in Tiger Street Food Festival, all specially crafted by Uncaged Heroes – Im, Herukh and Jun.
