Prosperity Salmon Fish & Jelly Fish Lo Hei 齐齐捞起 (三文魚海蜇魚生)
Begin by tossing to a prosperous year ahead with Prosperity Salmon Fish & Jelly Fish Lo Hei. Myriad of textures and colours from shredded fresh vegetables, crackers and condiments, flavoured up with sweet plum sauce and moist from oil.
Double-boiled Bamboo Piths, Dried Scallops & Mushroom in Supreme Chicken Stock 大吉大利 (乾貝竹笙冬菇燉雞湯)
Warm up the tummy with double-boiled Chinese soup. So nourishing, helmed with natural sweetness of bamboo piths, dried scallops, mushroom and supreme chicken stock goodness.
Crispy Roasted Sesame Chicken 大展鸿图 (芝麻脆皮雞)
Sesame chicken roasted to crispy golden brown exterior, with moist tenderness kept within. No extra flavourful sauce needed to flourish the dish, as it is already good on its own.
Stir-fried King Prawns with Salted Egg Yolk 皆大嘻哈笑 (鹹蛋黃金醬大蝦皇)
Salted egg yolk has made a name for itself especially this few years. A much raved about ingredient, be it in bread & pastries, cakes & desserts, Chinese favourites, Western fusion twist, or beyond. New World Hotel Petaling Jaya has incorporated salted egg yolk goodness into their first Chinese New Year menu too, coating this crowd-pleaser with stir-fried King prawns for sinful, yet delicious finish.
Stir-fried Scallops, Two Kinds of Fungus, Broccoli 财源滚滚来 (雙耳炒帶子)
Succulent, juicy scallops stir- fried into a mini vegetable feast with brocolli, black fungus, and white fungus that add delightful crisp-tender.
Wok-fried Rice, Seafood, Crab Meat 一帆风顺 (金沙海鮮炒飯)
We were already quite full by the time this carb dish arrived. Thought of sampling just a spoonful but ended up we polished clean everything. It was surprisingly tasty! Fluffy rice and bouncy seafood asides, what makes this dish noteworthy is the “gam sha” that work wonders in delivering unique, fine grainy texture.
Chinese New Year Cup Cake 春回迎大地 (新年杯蛋糕)
