Crispy Almond Chicken 杏花脆皮雞
Crispy Almond Chicken, highly recommended. Looks simple, but is a painstaking process in preparation. The outcome is wonderful – crispy chicken skin, followed by bouncy meat that blends together chicken with fish, plus more crunchiness from almond flakes.
Sauteed Golden Prawn with Pumpkin Cream 黃金濃湯大蝦
No, the golden yellowish coating is not the ever-popular salted egg yolk prawn, but pumpkin cream! A more interesting way of presenting Xiu Ha Ha dish (* Prawns is pronounced as Ha in Cantonese, also symbolizes more laughters and joys). Definitely healthier too! And of course, most importantly, it tasted good too. Relish pumpkin cream, rich and creamy but not cloying, accentuated with aroma of curry leaves, pairing just nice with fresh, bouncy prawns.
Sun-dried Oyster, Fatt Choy, Flower Mushroom & Vegetable 開心發財好市
Another hearty plate of auspicious dish, putting together vegetables, flower mushroom, mock meat and the center stage – Hou See & fatt choy, homonym for good fortune and wealth.
Supreme Seafood Golden Fried Rice with XO Sauce XO 汁海鮮皇炒飯
Giving a switch from traditional Claypot Rice with Waxed Meat, Chef Kok and the team comes out with Supreme Seafood Golden Fried Rice, which, unexpectedly turned out to be one of our favourites. Subtle wok hei, flavours heighten up with spicy, salty hints from XO sauce.
Double Boiled Sweetened Chrysanthemum Tea with Pear, Red Date & Aloe Vera 菊花茶紅棗雪梨燉蘆薈
Dynasty’s Fortune Pastries 賀年糕點
End the meal sweet with warmth, soothing sweet soup, and “Nian Gao” prepared two ways – steamed glutinous rice cake coconut flakes, and deep fried version of this Chinese New Year sweet treat.
