The Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur has unveiled their festive menu, and we were glad review their Colonial Cafe Christmas Eve Dinner menu. served warm, Smoking Bishop Mulled Wine brimming with flavours of spices, subtle citrusy and sweetness.
Amuse Bouche
Breaded Camembert Cheese with Blueberry Sauce
Begin the meal with Amuse Bouche, featuring Camembert cheese jacketed with bread crumbs, deep fried to golden brown for crispy outside, cheesiness filled bite-sized goodness. Accompanied by a swirl blueberry sauce for fruity, appetizing finish.

Soup
Cream of Watercress Soup with Lobster meat
Next up, a heart warming soup that we are truly in love with. Making switch from usual cream of mushroom, lobster bisque, pumpkin soup and so forth, Colonial Cafe creatively comes up with watercress soup, also a popular ingredient used in Chinese soup. The soup holds a mild creaminess, blending in mellow sweetness from watercress soup. Light but doesn’t fall short of flavours, texture added with fresh, meaty lobster meat. Excellent soup.
Sorbet
Pear Sorbet with Balsamic Reduction
Clean the palate in a refreshing way before the main course.
Mid course
Roasted sliced whole turkey accompanied with cranberry sauce, stuffed chesnut and buttered vegetables
A Christmas meal is incomplete without indulging into roasted turkey. The Majestic Hotel makes your Christmas Eve Dinner merrier with sliced roasted turkey as mid-course. Just a sufficient portion, so that you will still have room for the coming main course. Do enjoy your turkey with cranberry sauce, as the berry sweetness really helps to amplify the overall flavours.
Main Course
Braised beef cheek accompanied with gorgonzola polenta and vegetable lasagna
Baked honey glazed cod fish accompanied with butter glazed asparagus
For main course, choose between braised cheek or baked honey lazed cod fish. We had the later, and it was amazing! Largely flake with delicate moist, glazed with a thin layer of honey for subtle sweetness that does wonder. Hearty portion. So good. Must-try.
Pudding
Home made chocolate fudge cake with crispy brandy
Dessert is always the most anticipating part for us. The Colonial Cafe Christmas dessert doesn’t disappoint! Look at this sweet treat with ” Christmas Hat”! So festive and adorable.
Really like the hollowed, hemisphere crispy brandy chocolate, filled with homemade chocolate fudge cake and red colour hat shape topping. Further decorated with berries at the side. Eat together for better flavours concoction – sweet, bitter, sour, fruity.
Petit Fours
Homemade christmas cookies and chocolates
Freshly brewed coffee or tea
End the meal with Petit fours, and freshly brewed coffee or tea. The Majestic Hotel Colonial Cafe Christmas Eve Dinner Menu is priced at RM280nett per person, RM380nett per person with wine pairing. There’s also Christmas Day Dinner Set Menu and New Year’s Eve dinner Menu, where the price is RM220nett per person (RM320nett per person with wine pairing), and RM380nett per person (RM480nett per person with wine pairing) respectively.
