Howdy, readers! How are y’all doing today? If you’re thinking if I’m going to do a Western cowboy themed entry based on the introduction just now, nope, I’m not. Just felt like going all howdy for the day. So, what is today’s entry is about? We’re going traveling, peeps and now we are venturing into the accommodation section – hotels!
As you can guess from the title, this entry is about cool three-star hotels in Kuala Lumpur listed down by Traveloka Malaysia. If you don’t know, Traveloka is an online travel company that provides both flight and hotel bookings. So, the hotels that I am about to write about is available on their site. So, if you want to book hotels online, you can visit their site. Okie dokie, what are the hotels I’ll be laying it out here for you? Behold the nominees! Arenaa Star Hotel, The Marque Hotel, Citin Hotel Masjid Jamek by Compass Hospitality, The Grand Campbell Hotel KL, and Hotel Grand Continental Kuala Lumpur
Arenaa Star Hotel
Coming in at the top is Arenaa Star Hotel. This hotel categorized itself as the hotel with a filming concept. They are putting the arts in film-making into both their interior and exterior design. I think it is safe to say that the second you step inside the hotel, you will feel like walking through a motion picture production scenery. The hotel is 0.26 km away from the Masjid Jamek LRT Station and 0.56 km from the Merdeka Square. They have six types of rooms; Superior Star with no windows, Deluxe Star with optional Queen or Twin beds, Family Star, Talent Suite, Honeymoon Suite, and Idol Suite. Their very own Harry’s Bistro provides the best coffee house can offer and not to mention the art decorations around the area. You are living the Hollywood life right here in Arenaa Star Hotel at Kuala Lumpur.
The Marque Hotel
Second place, we have The Marque Hotel. This hotel is 0.30 km from the Plaza Rakyat LRT Station and 0.35 km from Petaling Street. This hotel transcends simplicity in the most elegant manner. It also suits backpackers checking in for the night before they embark on their own adventure the next day. The interior is kept low-key with simple decorations and color tones. In the Traveloka site, you will see their offer for the Marque Premier Double Room that is suitable for traveling duos spending the night. You will also gain free Wi-Fi access with so many facilities to offer like access to family and non-smoking room. It’s pretty neat and comfy, if you ask me.
Citin Hotel Masjid Jamek by Compass Hospitality
If you are looking for a hotel with the best view of the city, this is the one, man. This hotel is right Off Jalan Masjid India, which is crazily close to the Merdeka Square, Masjid Jamek LRT Station, and the Night Market in TAR Road (Jalan TAR as what the locals call it). If you don’t know by now, TAR Road is the IT place where you want to do some serious shopping. Let me tell you how it’s like during the festive season. One word; CRAZAY! People from who-knows-where will be rampaging TAR Road like me on the free buffet. That’s one bonus point to stay here at the hotel, it’s very close to your endless shopping spree.
The Grand Campbell Hotel KL
When you found a hotel with the word “Grand” in it, you’ll know there will be some or all of the elements in the hotel will be grand. The Grand Campbell Hotel KL is on 98 Jalan Dang Wangi, Kuala Lumpur. It is 0.14 km from Night Market TAR Road (hey, look! Another TAR Road!), 0.29 km from the Bandaraya LRT Station and 0.37 km from the Medan Tuanku Monorail Station. From here, you are literally at a point where you can go anywhere without having to toss yourself to the wall figuring out about transportation. This hotel also provides transportation to the airport – good news for those flying in, right?
Hotel Grand Continental Kuala Lumpur
Again, GRAND! You’ll be sure to find some grandeur facilities in store here in the hotel. Hotel Grand Continental Kuala Lumpur is 0.64 km away from SOGO KL. Okay, before we go any further with that part, let me tell you about SOGO. SOGO is like one of the oldest malls in Kuala Lumpur. Not only it gives you that sentimental and nostalgic value to it, but it’s like seeing a vintage building in the middle of the metropolitan city. I don’t know about you, but I have a feel for those kinds of things. Okay, let’s get back on track, so aside from being so near to SOGO KL, the hotel is also close to public transportations like Sultan Ismail LRT Station, Medan Tuanku Monorail Station, and PWTC LRT Station. The facilities in the hotel are also cool with their fitness center, ballroom and banquet for any events you might want to organized and sophisticated business center for business travelers. It’s sure to be a good stay.
And there you have it! If you are ever in town and aiming for three-star hotels, Traveloka got your back on that one. They’re doing a pretty good job so far.
