Take Eat Easy Gastrocafe at Sunway Velocity, Cheras KL is now opened. It is situated at the outdoor area of this shopping mall. A little further down from Regius Tea, same row with the Chinese Mix Rice shop.
If you have tried before the gimmicky fruit juice filled in light bulb shape bottle, Take Eat Easy might be familiar for you. They are the pioneer to this fun drink in Klang Valley. Take Eat Easy Sunway Velocity keeps this too for their beverage, along with vast variety of food selections on the menu. From local to Asian, Western, fusion and innovative creation by the kitchen team, this restaurant poises to be another noteworthy dining option in Sunway Velocity.
Soft Shell Crab Burger RM32
Visited this place for dinner few weeks back, sampled quite a number of their signature dishes. Started with Soft Shell Crab Burger that is on-point for being more than just photography-worthy. It is tasty too! Whole soft shell crab deep fried to golden brown, forming crispy outside and moisture locked within “patty”, sandwiched into two fluffy red velvet bun along with lettuce, tomato, jalapeno cheese sauce for well-balanced flavours.
Spaghetti Aglio Olio with Smoked Duck RM22
One of the most classic pasta flavours. Simple at its best, having spaghetti tossed with essential ingredients for aglio olio – garlic, olive oil, chilli, further flavoured up with mushroom and smoked duck. Mild garlicky hints, manageable spiciness. Summerkid likes it. Spotted Spaghetti Mamak on Take Eat Easy menu. A combination of beancurd, potato, squid, prawn, onion, sambal, shredded egg, pak choy with spaghetti seems interesting. Gonna check it out next time.
Ocean Catch RM32
Next, Ocean Catch, another eye-catchy dish. Thin, crispy pizza base spread with Alfedo sauce, topped with with crabmeat, tuna, mushrooms, garlic, capers and shrimp – the topping we love most in this pizza, as the breaded deep-fried prawn jacketed with bread crumbs makes this dish better by delivering extra crunchy, juicy and bouncy sensation as we munch on.
Scrambled Salmon RM29
If breakfast is your thing, you might get your favourite at Take Eat Easy. Be it a simple Asian staple breakfast like Steamed Pandan Hainan Bread, Crispy Hainan Toast, Roti Jala with Curry; Western Big Breakfast, Egg Benedict, High-tea style Breakfast, Baked Egg; or chef own creation including Charcoal Sesame Otak-otak Sandwich, Chapatti Burrito, Cheese & Butter Shibuya Toast – get them anytime you like as they are served all day.
Chacroal Sesame Otak-Otak RM13
We recommended Charcoal Sesame Otak-otak Sandwich and Scrambled Salmon. The worthwhile part lies on the delicious egg. Fried egg for the former is nicely done, retained with moist and not rubbery-dry, further leveled up in flavours with aromatic otak-otak.
While for the later, the scrambled egg is really fluffy and creamy, just a dash of pepper and salt make it real good. The little detail on our Scrambled Salmon counts too – Spot the Chinese preserved chilli and sun-dried tomato. Personally feel that they are brilliant condiments that give appetizing, zesty twist that brighten up the whole dish.
Fritto Misto Platter RM69
This is an amazing platter! Our eyes opened wide when it arrived on our table. Such a giant portion. Luckily there was 10 of us in that dinner. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7…we literally lost count on the varieties on this large wooden chopboard.
Chicken sausages, whitebait fish, mini crabs, breaded shrimp, chicken cube in parsley & butter sauce, sauteed eggplant in plancha sauce, crispy golden mushrooms, Cajun fries, mixed salad, cucumber crudities, and dipping sauce. Perfect order for large group. Nibble these finger food slowly while having lovely chat with friends, families or loved one.
Baked Cheese Rice with Pongteh Chicken & Australian Mixed Cheese RM25

Get your Asian food craving fulfilled with choices like Singapore Laksa, Tuna Assam Laksa, Tom Yum Noodles, Penang Duck Egg Char Kuey Teow, Cantones Hor Fun, Baked Cheese Rice, Salmon Steak Donburi and Nasi Lemak Special. They even offers Petai Fried Rice on the menu!
Chocolate Coulant RM17
End the meal with dessert like Chocolate Coulant, Shibuya Toast, Wild Berries Pavlova, Cendol Cheese Cake and Pandan Tiramisu. Not extra extensive in choices but this lovely sweet treats are enough to bring smiles on your face.
Do try Chocolate Coulant – a warm moist chocolate cake nestled in coffee cup. Topped it with swirls of homemade caramel sauce and peanut, then scoop up vanilla ice cream and eat all together. You’ll like it.
Shibuya Toast RM18
We had Shibuya Toast too. Summergirl’s favourite. A more fancy looking dessert that stacks up toasted honey brick toast, ice cream, macarons, whipped cream. Ideal to share with a friend. Summergirl’s favourite.
Red Sensation RM17
Healthy, freshly squeeze juice made unique with Take Eat Easy ‘s effort in giving it a better presentation. Tadaa..nutritional values all in the adorable bottle. We had Red Sensation, a concoction of Strawberry, Watermelon, Dragon Fruit and Beetroot. You can own the bottle and bring it home! Yeah, we did that hahaha.
