Pullman Kuala Lumpur Bangsar will be starting their Ramadhan buffet from 25th May to 26th June 2017, at the Link all-day dining restaurant. The buffet is priced at RM168nett per adult, RM84nett for children.
With the theme of Khazanah Sajian Desa, the buffet spread will offer a wide selection of local and international delights, covering from Malay appetizer, kawah, bubur lambok, soup tulang, roasted chicken, ikan masak pedas, ice kacang; to seafood on ice, Mongolian grill, D24 durian ice cream, free-flow of durian, dessert and more.
“The Holy month of the Ramadhan is one of Malaysia’s biggest traditional customs and we have come up with several offerings to provide the ideal environment for families and groups to enjoy this tradition in an enjoyable and relaxed environment,” said Chef Juzaili, Executive sous chef of Pullman Kuala Lumpur Bangsar.
Begin with appetiser stations of kerabu and salads, combining colourful ingredients that open up your appetite. Then they have salted egg, ikan masin, oysters and prawns on ice, followed by lemang with delicious kuah.
For Malay hot dishes in Pullman Ramadhan buffet, this year, they are pride with the five kawah, namely Kari Nenas Gulai Kawah, Daging Tetel Gulai Kawah, Kambing Gulai Kawah, Singgang Ikan Gulai Kawah and Kari Ayam Kapitan Gulai Kawah. Of all, we enjoyed Kari Ayam Kapitan Gulai Kawah the most. Thick, rich and aromatic gravy, laced with mild spiciness. Goes great with white rice, needless to say.
Pucuk Ubi Lemak Keledek, Terung Masaka Asam Pindang, Chicken Satay, Beef Satay, Daging Masak Hitam Berempah, Ayam Merah, Sambal Sotong Cili Hidup, Bubur Lambuk – these are some of the highlighted local favourites apart from the kawah.
For Chinese delights, fill your plate with roasted chicken and chicken rice, Braised Bean Curd with Vegetables, Assorted Vegetable with Oyster Sauce, etc. Indian dishes cover just a small selection, but still noteworthy on Lamb Briyani Rice and Kari Ikan Madras Pedas.
Seafood Paella Rice, Mi Udang, Asam Laksa, Ikan Masak Asam Pedas, Chicken Shawarma, Sup Tulang and more, these delicacies is served in individual stalls of Buffet in Pullman Bangsar. Asam Laksa was surprisingly not bad, not spiciness and sourness loaded version, but scoring well on the liberal amount of fish for extra sweetness.
Roasted lamb. Star of the buffet, no reason for not trying out. LOL.
Yes, so happy to see that hey have Turkish ice cream! Something that you might not get in any other Ramadhan buffet in KL and PJ. Three flavours to choose from, can be served in cup or cone. No special magic show when handling over the ice cream like you see in Bukit Bintang but this definitely not the main point, as our attention is only on the yummy gummy dondurma!
Save your tummy for other desserts too! Ice kacang with various condiments, fruit tarts, cupcakes, pudding, cheesecake, Malay kuih, kek lapis, bubur are all ready for you to indulge in! But our favourite is still Turkish ice cream. Not to forget, they have fresh durian too!
