SOULed OUT Ampang at Menara HSC Kuala Lumpur, a popular restaurant that still rocking the wining scene in KL City despite the emerging of many other drinking places. What makes it even better is none other but the full-fledge menu ranges from Asian to Western selections.
Curry Laksa, Singapore Fried Noodles, Pad Thai, Claypot Lou Shu Fan, Sang Har Mee; Grilled Sirloin Steak, Bombay Chicken, Tandoori Chicken Special, Tex Mex Pizza, Classic Pepperoni Pizza, Seafood Marinara Pasta, Lamb Shank, Fish & Chips, Sizzling Chicken Chop, Prawn Aglio Olio Pasta, Australian Tenderloin, Herb Crusted Bararamundi, and the list continues – Something for everyone.
Grilled Ribeye Steak RM50
Price wise, it is pocket friendly, considering the food portion given. Take this hearty, beautiful slab of grilled ribeye steak prepared to right doneness, accompanied with asparagus spears, carrot sticks and roasted potato with cream horseradish sauce for example, it is quite reasonable at RM50.
Stir-Fried Beef Noodles RM17
First time trying Fried Beef Noodles. Looked so-so in appearance but hey don’t judge, it tasted so much better than expected. Flash-fried flat koay teow noodles, dressed in a bed of thick, eggy gravy. Generous pieces of beef slices spot on, and they were so on point! Very tender. Definitely not those dry and tough meat you had in some “dai chow” stalls.
Pomodoro Rughetta 8inch/RM25; 11inch/RM30
In SOULed OUT pizza list, Sake San Pizza is our favourite – An innovative pizza with Japanese fusion, layering salmon slivers, fish roe, cherry tomato, mozzarella, Japanese mayo, lollo rosso and hints of wasabi over thin, crispy pizza. Has been ordereing this for numerous time so we decided to try out something different and new on the menu this time – Pomodoro Rughetta. Oval shaped pizza, generously laden with beef bacon that delivers the main flavours, further topped with roasted peppers, tomato sauce, mozzarella and arugula salad. Flavourful and we like how the arugula leaves and tomato help to balance up the overall flavours. A choice of 8″ just nice for one, or bigger 11″ ideal for sharing.
Sizzling Lamb Cutlet RM36
While Western fares are usually more common when comes to pairing with beer, wine or cocktails, we have to recommend that when in SOULed OUT Ampang, have them with Northern Indian cuisine! Their Indian food is worthwhile, entices your palate not just on plain spicy, but a careful use of herbs and spices to sum up to delightful, aromatic dishes. We ordered Sizzling Lamb Cutlet, with cheese naan bread baked in tandoori oven as side. Lamb cutles were meaty with subtle gaminess, coated with red hot special Indian spices that Summerkid enjoyed;
while for the freshly made chewy naan breads with crispy edges, needless to say, well-suit Summergirl the-bread-lover.
Excellent food aside, don’t forget the drinks. Lychee Mojito, Apple Mojito, Asam Boi Mojito, Mango Mojito, Passion & Lychee Margarita for the alcoholic-infused…Do check out SOULed OUT Ampang Happy Hour, do check out their social media page for latest promotion.
Apple Mint Cooler, Apple Ginger Blast,Fruit Punch, Strawberry Fields Smoothies, Passion Peach Smoothie, Mint Shake, Green Kiwi Smoothie and so forth for non-alcoholic. We recommended Strawberry Smoothie, thick and rich but not too sweet, blended with Haagen-dazs ice cream!
Spicy Popcorn Chicken RM18
Get this Spicy Popcorn Chicken to go along with our cocktails. Mini chicken chunks in spicy batter, deep fried to golden brown to achieve an addictive, crispy and spicy snack!
Lava Cake RM17
Moist, chocolaty lava cake filled with melted chocolate Warm, complete with a scoop of Haagen-Dazs ice cream at only RM17. Ahh… such a worth-the-price dessert to end our meal SOULed OUT with sweet note.
