Shook! Sunday Seafood Buffet Brunch at Starhill Gallery Kuala Lumpur is probably one of the best buffet we’ve ever indulged into in Kuala Lumpur, after experiencing numerous mediocre yet pricey eat-all-you-can. The restaurant is resides at Feast Village, a premium food atrium that features an array of culinary delight including Chinese, Korean, Malay, Mediterranean, just to name a few..
To be honest, we didn’t keep high hope on Shook! buffet initially as we were so afraid on getting disappointed again with not-so-tasty buffet line. We were wrong. The buffet is awesome, totally beyond our expectation. At the price of RM188, we were spoilt with quality food and beverage selections that worth every penny we paid. For alcohol lovers, go for RM238 option. The meal will definitely go merrier with free flow of wine, beer, cocktail, and their highlights- prosecco sparkling wine!
From seafood to cured ham, cheese, sashimi, sushi, grilled meat, dim sum, Chinese roasted meat, and dessert, everything looks so good that we took some time to decide which to start with. Since almost everyone is seen piling their plate with lobster, we began from the seafood counter too. Haha. Yes, you read it right, Shook! Sunday Brunch Buffet has unlimited serving of lobster!
Look at this giant lobster with juicy, bouncy meat!
Seafood here is served chilled, over ice, adorned with dreamy foggy background. Eat these seafood on their own to enjoy the most original taste, or squeezes in lemon juice for zesty touch, or mayo sauce to flavour up your seafood a little.
Lobster, mussel, prawn, clams, scallop, crab, crayfish, eat as much as you wish to but do not forget the many other selections. Grilled meat & roasted items are surprisingly nice especially roasted lamb. Even our friend who doesn’t like lamb gave praises for this. Side with stir fried onion, potato, corn and more.
Sashimi and sushi have more than 10 varieties, together with assorted tempura, too bad we couldn’t try all as we wanted to leave our room for other food.
Done Japanese, we proceed to Chinese and Western counter. The former occupies a smaller space, with dim sum and roasted chicken rice for Chinese food craving.
Walk down further and you can fill your plate with pizza, cured meat, bread, cheese, appetizers like roasted egg plant, roasted pumpkin, and some tapas selections. There’s also a la-minute spaghetti counter next to it! So get freshly cooked pasta in different flavours!
Keep some rooms for desserts. Creme Brulee, Dark Chocolate Mousse, Berries Tiramisu, Classic Tiramisu, Chocolate Eclair, Fruite Tart, Cream Puff, Chocolate Cake, Fruits in Mini Ice Cream Cone, Coconut Mousse Cake, Carrot Cake, Chocolate Fountain and more! Try the Dark Chocolate Mousse, really nice!
In short, we really love this Sunday buffet at Shook! Starhill Gallery. We don’t mind returning again with friends and family for a relaxing, bubbly brunch, accompanying by live performance at the concourse’s stage.
