Little People at Avantas Residences, Old Klang Road, Kuala Lumpur – This cafe has been on our must-visit cafes list since October but due to busy schedule, none of the coffee places on the list get checked. We’re glad that just one day before 2016 ends, we finally get to spend some quiet time in this place, and we love it!
Resides within a new residential building, which also houses Inside Scoop Artisan Ice Cream and Kimiya Japanese Restaurant, parking will not be a hassle. Indoor parking is sufficient, or you can look for valet parking service at the lobby entrance.
Named Little People, the cafe doesn’t appear “little” at all in terms of, almost everything, be it food, coffee, passion or dining space. The area is spacious, putting together white theme and light colour wooden furnishing for minimalism design. To us, perhaps the only thing that makes Little People holds up to the name will be the down-to-earth, humble and polite people in there, who are passionate in getting small things right before reaching for bigger achievements. From making their own pasta to coffee beans selections, these little efforts worth the applause.
Little People serves “little” menu with big flavours. Hehe. Less than 15 food items but each prepared with love. Pasta is something they prides at, as it covers half of the choices – Pasts Beef Ragu Alla Bolognese, Pasta Seafood Arabiata, Pasta Alla Carbonara, Pasta Al Pesto, Pasta Aglio e Olio Peperoncino. Diners can choose between classic spaghetti or their handmade tagliatele and Pappardelle.
Pasta Aglio e Olio (Classic Spaghetti , RM25)
Summerkid opted for Pasta Aglio e Olio, his favourite pasta flavour with olive oil, garlic and chilli flakes base. Added with white wine so is more a wet version. Worth mentioned part – the pasta is served with huge, juicy Hokkaido baby scallop! Looks mini in portion but don’t judge, it is quite filling by the time you finish everything.
Granola (RM18)
Other options on Little People menu includes Sausage Spinach/Onion Mushroom Quiche (RM12), Grilled Polenta(RM18), Granola (RM18), Lil’s Jr (*Basic Croissant Set -RM12), Lil’s Croissant (*Big Breakfast Style -RM18). Price within RM30.
We shared an order of Granola – Fresh milk, rolled oats, whole almond, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, dried cranberry, golden raisin, sultana, maple syrup desicated coconut, sea salt flakes, fresh seasonal fruits beautifully layered together, summing up to a healthy breakfast bowl. Too much for us, couldn’t finish. LOL.
Latte, Cappuccino (RM11)
For beverage, coffee takes the center stage. Be it black, white or filtered coffee, you won’t be disappointed. Little People offers different types of coffee beans from time to time, so keep close to their Facebook or Instagram page for latest information, and drop by if you happened to come across your favourite beans.
