Yu Sheng with Norwegian Salmon Fish with Assorted Pickled Vegetable and Shredded Fresh Fruit Plum Sauce
RM98 (Half Portion) / RM196 (Full Portion)
For Yu Sheng, we had a more traditional version, which put together colourful pickled vegetables, crackers, plum sauce and so forth with Norwegian Salmon and shredded fresh fruits. Keeps the core joy of this annual tossing for prosperity, yet not short of flavours and textures while tucking in. If you prefer more modern options, try out Yu Sheng with Crispy Soft Shell Crab and Snow Pear in Spicy Mango Plum Sauce, or Yu Sheng with Fresh Fruits and Asorted Vegetables served with Roasted Sesame Dressing.
Roasted Corn Fed Chicken served with Spicy Onion Sauce
RM69(Half Bird) / RM135(Whole Bird)
The first savoury dish served out is already our favourite. Roasted corn fed chicken with fork tender chicken meat, each topped with super crunchy skin, which is clearly the winner. LOL. We’ll be more than happy to place an order if there’s “Corn Fed Crispy Chicken Skin” on the menu.
Fragrant Golden Jin Sha Style Spicy Slipper Lobster
RM150(S) / RM225(M) / RM300(L)
Second main dish is interesting, something that you don’t find in every KL hotel Chinese New Year Menu. While most restaurants will have prawns taking place, Celestial Court at Sheraton Hotel has picked up slipper lobster, cooked with fragrant golden Jin Sha Sauce – a rich, flavourful gravy akin to Kam Heong, but concocted from egg yolk, curry leaves, dried shrimp, chilli.
Wok-fried Fresh Scallop and Shrimps with Macadamia Nuts and Sweet Bean
RM128(S) / RM192(M) / RM258(L)
We enjoyed this Wok Fried Fresh Scallop and Shrimps with Macadamia Nuts and Sweet Bean. Nothing fancy but each ingredient is scoring well on their own, especially freshness of seafood; and when having all together, crunchiness from vegetable and nuts add more pleasing textures!
Seasonal Vegetable with Morel Mushroom Topped with Diced Seafood and Crab Meat Roe Sauce
RM80(S) / RM120(M) / RM160(L)
A dish that makes us feel homey. Seasonal vegetables, dressed with diced seafood and crab meat roe sauce – a thick, flavorsome gravy that we believe will goes great if paired with egg noodles.
Pan-fried Traditional Chinese New Year Cake
Sweet ending with pan-fried Nin Gou, a type of cake made from glutinous rice, served during Chinese New Year to symbolize “continuous good year”. It is chewy, medium sweet, coated with thin layer of egg. Simple but nice.
Braised Abalone Top Shell Meat with Scallop and Black Mushroom In Supreme Oyster Sauce
RM118(S) / RM177(M) / RM236(L)
