MyKori Dessert Cafe, Puchong Jaya: Melon Kakigori & Taiyaki!

Mykori Dessert Cafe at Puchong Jaya opened closely after Kakigori in Taman Paramount, serving the latest popular sweet treat in town-Japanese shaved ice and Japanese Shibuya Honey toast, together with Japanese Croissant Taiyaki, refreshing drinks and Kapiti ice cream.

With Mykori joining in, choices for desserts in Puchong Jaya area are now better, besides hopping between just Moonlight Cafe, Wawaland or Donutes Coffee. The cafe started out as a small Taiyaki shop in SS15 Subang Jaya (opposite Asia Cafe), but has gone extra miles by now, churning out more than just delicious fish shape croissant waffle filled with long pull of cheese.

Since we were still full from our lunch at Lim Fried Chicken, we ordered only the best seller – Melon Kakigori. Halved melon, hollowed and filled with melon shaved iced, beautifully laced with freshly scopped melon balls. Undoubtedly pretty for Instagram and Facebook photos, but taste wise, personally, doesn’t up to our liking. Shaved ice was overly sweet, but luckily the melon itself falls on non-sweet version, scores on juicy crunch, just right to balance up the entire sweetness.

Other options for Kakigori includes Strawberry Cheesecake Kakigori, Azuki Matcha Kakigori, priced at RM17. For Japanese Shibuya Toast, you get Shibuya Honey Toast, Strawberry Cheesecake Toast, Chocolate Banana Toast and Matcha Azuki Toast are on Mykori menu. If stomach space allow, we strongly recommend all to try out their Taiyaki, especially the Triple Cheese flavour. Price is reasonable, below RM10.
