Durian King TTDI Kuala Lumpur, a place that lets you enjoy your favorite durian in various species during durian peak season, and extend your love to this king of fruit with durian cendol and durian coffee on off season, any day throughout the year.
Had a random visit to Durian King TTDI last week after our dinner at Uncle Don, because the stall is located just opposite to it. It may be difficult for first timer to spot this place. So, you can either get assist from Waze by typing in “Durian King TTDI” or look for an opened car park right beside Pasar Besar TTDI. Durian King is inside the parking compound. It opens from 5PM-12midnight on weekdays, 12PM -12midnight on weekends. Pretty long business hours so don’t worry if you were craving for cendol at night. Durian King is the right place for you.
Since the season for durian already over, we had a try on their durian cendol. Two types to choose from, cendol with mixed durian topping (RM12) or durian with Musang King Cendol (RM15). Fine shaved ice with cendol, fresh santan, red bean, gula melaka drizzle, crowned with durian pulp. A simple favourite local dessert that turns more noteworthy with a this famous tropical fruit.
Aside from cendol, take a sip of durian coffee. We were hesitated to try it out initially but decided to order a hot version. Surprisingly, both coffee and durian pairs so well. Taste of coffee is not overpowered by the durian, but matching nicely to enhance the overall flavours. Durian King TTDI adds more durian flesh into their durian coffee to deliver some texture. Staff told us that cold version is equally good too with a little taste different.
Asking if there would be be anymore durian available this year, staff told us that a small quantity of durian will be available around December till February. So do come by for more fresh durian, durian cendol and durian coffee!
