Pampas Steakhouse at Old Melaya, Kuala Lumpur makes their debut to Malaysian International Gourmet Festival (MIGF) 2016, dishing out noteworthy 3-course menu in a century old building that blends in vintage design with modern charm.
The festival menu begins with a glass of complimentary cocktail upon arrival. We were served with Pampas house signature cocktail -mojito, a refreshing drink that helps to open up the appetite before starting the meal.
Appetiser – Grilled King Prawn
A thoughtfully prepared starter, presenting more than just normal grilled king prawn. Diced potato, spring onions and prawn meat tossed with chef’s special sauce, stuffed in hollowed-out shell. Bouncy and crunchy bites, laced with faint hints of herbs.
Grilled Black Angus Beef Tenderloin
For main course, diners can choose to go meaty by ordering Grilled Black Angus Beef Tenderloin, or get a taste of the sea by tucking into Tandoori Flavoured Halibut Fish Fillet. Since grilled steak is always the highly recommended dish in Pampas, an order of the former will not disappoint. Tender, easily cut through meat, locked with juiciness, served with Horseradish Mash Potatoes, Grilled Asparagus and Dijon Mustard.
Tandoori Flavoured Halibut Fish Fillet
Halibut Fish Fillet is equally good, meaty in texture with substantial coating of Tandoori spices. Served with Mint Yoghurt Cucmber Raita and Salmon Roe on top – a mini edible decoration that level up not only the texture of the dish, but also creativity of a classic favourite with Japanese fusion.
Chocolate Lava
Warmth chocolate cake, filled with gooey, melting dark chocolate – a dessert not to be missed at Pampas. Served with Berry Compote and Vanilla Ice Cream for hote & cold combination.
