Timbre @The Row, Jalan Doraisamy Kuala Lumpur is the first restaurant outside Singapore for Timbre Group.
Timbre@The Row, Jalan Doraisamy KL – It is a pleasure to have Timbre Group, a reputable establishment from Singapore for choosing Malaysia as their first regional venture location, setting up first outlet at The Row KL.
This live music restaurant takes The Row to a more noteworthy level by having local musicians and bands to perform in Timbre during night time on particular days. A movement that stays true to Timbre Group core mission of nurturing, provides continuous support to home-grown talents.
While live music performance is the highlight, food and beverage in Timbre holds equally important role too. KL Timbre menu covers a promising list of salad, pizza, main course, soup and tapas, complete with lovely selections of beer, house spirits, house wine, mojitos special for drinks.
Chilli, Cilantro & Coconut Cream Mussels RM23
Started with Chilli, Cilantro & Coconut Cream Mussels. Mussels in a bed of spicy soup that sheds some similarity to tom yum, just not as sour and fiery hot, pale in coconut aroma. Pairing well with mussels but not the toasted cabiatta served along. Perhaps adding some cream to increase the consistency, tossed with pasta, get it into fusion noodles dish is not bad huh.
Half & Half RM42.00
When there are more than 15 flavours for you to choose and everything looks good, the consequences will be “I don’t know which one I should try”. That’s when Half & Half comes in right – pick 2 of the flavours and have in one pizza! Think about quarter 4 flavours pizza? We thought this is great idea too. Perhaps you can make a suggestion to the restaurants during your visit.
We tried out Half Roasted Duck Pizza – heaped with generous amount of crispy popiah skin, mushroom and drizzles of Hoisin sauce, a combination that reminds us about Beijing Roasted Duck; and Half Crispy Caramel Anchovies Pizza– which some will name it as Nasi Lemak Pizza. Sambal sauce smothered over the thin crust, topped with caramelized anchovies, pinapple chunks and julienne cucumber. Towards sweet, but we can’t deny the “Nasi Lemak” flavours that we got in every bite of this pizza.
Satay Beef Fries RM14
Bottled chilli sauce, give ways to Satay Beef Fries in Timbre. The minced beef satay sauce will take the job – coating creamy, peanuty, mildly spicy goodness onto fresh fried fries. Better if it could go a little more Sloppy Joe with melted cheese, and greedily add a sunny side up.
Rack of Sambal Crusted Lamb Loins RM34
Western style dishes with Asian influence is pretty strong here, and not to forget, Malaysian local favourite flavours appear too. Rack of Sambal Crusted Lamb Loins proves this well, apart from the “Nasi Lemak Pizza”. Brown sauce, black pepper sauce or mint sauce aren’t used, but sambal to give extra spicy kick to the lamb loins.
Cucumber & Mint Gin Fizz RM26
A visit to Timbre The Row KL is incomplete without a a glass of cocktail – The classic, Grape Mojito, Strawberry Mohito, Lychee Mojito; House Special – Cucumber & Mint Gin Fiz, Mixed Berries Magharita, ; Gin- Tanqueray No.10, Hendricks Scotland, Bombay Sapphire United Kingdom; Vodka – Belvedere, Ketel One Holland and more.
Mixed Berries Magharita RM26
