This July is a big month for Ippudo Malaysia restaurants, as they will be launching a Grand New Menu to tantalize diners’ tastebuds. While Ippudo Pavilion KL and Ippudo Mid Valley will be having the same menu, Ippudo Bangsar at BSC, on the other hand, will have a list of exciting selections that you don’t see in the other two branch. It is specially crafted to match with the concept of the outlet – a restaurant bar with beers, sake and other alcoholic drinks.
Mango Salad RM29.50
We sampled few of the new dishes, started with Mango Salad. Diced mango, fresh lettuce, croutons, diced cucumber, honey tomato, raw salmon in creamy yuzu dressing. Healthy and refreshing, salad lovers will not want to share this.
Amaebi Tartar RM34
Amaebi Tarter, an Italian-inspired starter with Japanese elements – sweet shrimp and diced avocado tower, dressed with a bed of wasabi dressing then topped with tobiko. Slimy and creamy to the palate, we love eating on its own, but you can also wrapped with crispy seaweed served along.
Chicken Nanban
Ippudo BSC Chicken Nanban appears in the look of Katsu Chicken Cutlet, differ from many of the Chicken Nanban we saw in KL restaurant, which is usually in bite size. But it doesn’t really matter though, as taste comes more important. Deeply marinated, better with double dipping sauce – Teriyaki vinegar dressing in the plate and tartar sauce served separately. We love the later more. It is homemade!
Seafood Foil Yaki RM39.50
Pronounced spiciness with a touch of sourness from ponzu, a gravy that blends well with mussels, shrimp, squids, scallops and vegetables gathered in this seafood Foil.
Salmon Sushi Moriawase RM44
A complete salmon sushi platter – Raw salmon, torched salmon and salmon roe to go with your sushi rice. We enjoyed torched salmon the best ! Cooked at the surface, remained raw at the center, salmon doneness we love most!
Mazesoba RM28
A surprise to see Ippudo BSC having Mazesoba as their highlighted ramen in this new menu. They called it “Japanese Styled Mixed Ramen”, dry version, tossing together 9 carefully selected ingredients, namely Nori, chashu, minced pork, spring onion, garlic, leek, onsen tamago, lime and deep fried noodles with Ippudo specially concocted sauce. Akin to pan mee, but more complex – sweet, spicy, sour, peppery, savoury and plenty of textures all in one go..
Watermelon Sherbet RM19
Dessert! Homemade sherbet served with cheese cake and pineapple preserve.
