This year, with a heritage theme named Kampung Dining Experience, JW Marriott Hotel Ramadhan Buffet will feature 138 of the most popular and classic Malay dishes, customarily served during Ramadhan. Diners are welcomed to join the Buka Puasa buffet at The Poolside (Level 6) and the Starhill Conference Center (Level 4), where these two loctions will be transformed into a Ramadhan bazaar during the Ramadhan month, replicating a Kampung ambience.
Aside from appreciating the spectacular set up and displays to reminisce the nostalgia of breaking fast in a traditional village setting, get your stomach ready for the main highlight of the evening – scrumptious buffet menu.
For those who yearn for the traditional kampung experience, starts your meal with hot dishes from the Gerai Makanan Tradisi dan Selera Kampung that put together authentic Malay dishes from different states. Tongkeng Ayam Goreng Bercili, Daging Salai Masak Lemak Bachang, Sambal Udang Petai, Ikan Tenggiri Asam Pedas, Gulai Daging Dengan Nanka and Kupang Masak Rampai are some of the must-try.
Of course, diners can enjoy the ever popular Malay Ulam or salad selection such as Petai, Kacang Botol, and Ulam Raja complemented by local dressings such as Sambal Belacan, Cincaluk, Budu and Tempoyak. Acar Buah and Acar Jelateh are available in the appetizer counter too.
Continue with more local favourites from featured at the stalls such as Nasi Dagang, Satay, Ikan Bakar, Ayam Tandoori, Roti Canai, Chicken Rice, Ais Kacang and many more. We sampled chicken satay and beef satay from the barbecue station, and felt glad with the juicy meat, laced with honey sweet sauce and charred grilled sensation.
