Room+Plus Hostel Korea @ Hongdae, Seoul: LINE Theme Room

Room+Plus in Hongdae, Seoul Korea – our highly recommended fully-furnished apartment style hostel/guesthouse for travellers, especially ideal for those travel in group of 4 to 6.

We have been searching high and low for a suitable room while planning for Seoul accommodation, measuring from price, location, comfortability and reviews rating. We managed to get some which are good, but somehow, the urge of booking one of them just not there. Until Summergirl came across Room+Plus in Hongdae, she jumped with joy, running to show Summerkid their LINE theme room. It is OMG so cute!

We immediately asked for a booking of 2 night stay here, but eventually, we stayed for 6 nights, and felt really reluctant to leave by the end of trip. Room+plus hostel LINE theme room lives up to its name strongly, putting together everything about LINE at almost every corner of the room.

From bed sheet to bed comforter, sofa cover, LINE friends soft toys…

Plush toys, fridge magnet, TV controller holder, tissues, towels…

LINE friends mug, table cloth, plates… so LINE-tiful..

Asides from LINE friends filled environment, this mini space is complete with all things you need, like a home. The kitchen is well-equipped with cooking utensils, dining wares, cutleries, plastic bag with sealing edge, kettle, stove, refrigerator, dish washer, etc…

A stay in Room+Plus Hostel doesn’t include breakfast, but they prepare few drinks, cakes and buns in LINE friends packaging for all guests, which they can munch on when feeling hungry during late night or early morning. Bottled drinking waters are given too.

What make us feel really touching is the first aid box and the universal converter. hehehe. Spot the LINE Cony bunny plaster!

You see it right! They have 8 converters for guests. Great for Summerkid who has many batteries (cameras, mobile phones, laptop bla bla bla) to charge every night after back to Room+Plus hostel.

Bathroom is well equipped with shampoo, shower gel, hair conditioner, toilet tissue, hand cream…

Satisfying stay, home away from home that you will not want to leave. View from the room is awesome too, great during day and night. No regret staying here. Recommended for travellers in at least 4 persons, because it can be more pricey for couple travellers. Our room price for two was about RM300/per night, higher price for more guests but of course cheaper per person than us after divided.

Comments:

Room choice: When we first booked with Room+Plus, they only have LINE room. But they have now added American theme room too, which is equally noteworthy and comfortable to stay with. If you prefer to stay in only LINE room, make sure to discuss with them earlier. The room is quite big and can fit at least 4 pax, equipped with kitchen and toilet.

Location: Room+Plus Hostel is strategically located inside Hongik University Station (Hongdae Station), you do not even have to walk out from the subway station. It is just right before Hongdae Exit 3. Upon leaving the subway, walk along the tunnel for like, 5 minutes to reach. Security is good here, with sensor lock and password to enter.

Restaurants & Cafe Nearby: Room+Plus is situated at the quieter side of Hongik, away from the hustle & bustle of Exit 9. But there is Comma Cafe within the same building, where you can enjoy coffee and cake. Cafe Comma 2 is nearby too, 2 minutes from Exit 3. Quiet but never lack of food selections. Restaurants, florist, bars, BBQ place, burger stations and more lined up further down the streets.

Convenient Store: There is a mini convenient store GS25 3 minutes away from exit 3. We bought beer, banana milk and instant cup noodles there every night as supper. During daytime, you can visit CU mini market at the building’s ground floor.
