Tea Verandah at Atria Shopping Gallery, a quaint little cafe that serves a wide variety of tea, tea set and simple comfort food.
The week has been so hectic for Summergirl at work that by Friday evening, she asked for a place where she could lay back and relax, preferably with tea to soothe the mind. So here we were at Tea Verandah, Atria Shopping Mall. It is located at Level 2 near to the escalator, appears in wooden brown shade for the design.
As its name suggest, the list of tea at Tea Verandah menu is long. From Europe Fruits Tea to Rooibos Tea, Yogurt Tea, Classic Black Tea, Europe Healthy Tea, Pure Europe Herbs & Flowers and Europe Organic Tea, coffee from Arristo premium capsule machine to round off.
Tea Verandah RM18.00
In case it is too hard to decide which tea to order, and you love fruity tea, Tea Verangh Europe fruits Tea is highly recommended. Available in hot & cold, putting together apple bits, lemon bits, cherries, pineapple, mango bits, papaya, hibiscus blossoms, orange peel, rose hip peels, elderberries, peach bits, apricot bits, and orange bits.
Tea Verandah Fruit Tea + Tea Set RM36.50
Suggest to sip the tea with a two-tier Tea Verandah Afternoon Tea Set, simple, mini version, sufficient even for one. It comprises of savoury pastries at the upper tier like tuna in filo pastry, and sweet treat like scone, jelly in glass, cupcake at the lower tier.
Ginger Tea RM9.90
Looking for something that can help relieves cold, flu, pain? Try Ginger Tea, which is traditionally used to promote a healthier nervous system, a natural potent antioxidant, having rich source of magnesium, iron, amino acid, vitamin E, and more.
Grilled Salmon Steak RM25.90
Savoury main course choices are limited, covering Rosemary Chicken, Grilled Salmon Steak, Mussels Pot, Ocean Aglio Olio and Three Muskerers Skewers. Doesn’t matter as tea is the main reason that drives us here. We begin with Grilled Salmon Steak, a lightly pan-seared salmon fillet served over a bed of creamy smooth mashed potato and asparagus, laced with tastebud tickling, sourish butter sauce. Ideal for diners with small stomach, as big eaters may need two portions of this.
Ocean Aglio Olio RM25.90
Our second dish in Tea Verandah, Ocean Aglio Olio is more sizeable, decently executed with a balanced moisture from olive oil, mild spiciness from chilli. Topped over with prawns and mussels.
Mussels Pot RM18.90
We loved this. Didn’t expect Tea Verandah Mussels Pot would turn out so good. The garlic butter sauce itself was on lighter side, hence we didn’t feel cloying even we drank it like soup, but of course better as dipping with butter bread. Lots of coarsely minced garlic, pairing well with mussels.
Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake
We end the meal with Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake as dessert. Chocolaty top layer, sectioned by peanuty, crumbly base. Perfect with their Tea Verandah Tea, as the tangy twist clocks in well to tune down the sweetness.
