Rebellions Coffee Bar, a new coffee place in Kota Damansara, Petaling Jaya we accidentally stumbled upon after having no luck to have breakfast at the overcrowded Jin Xuan Dim Sum Restaurant nearby. Occupying a corner lot opposite to Super Kitchen Chilli Pan Mee, Rebellions Coffee Bar looks promising from the outside with its modern rustic design in dark oak brown.
A spacious cafe with a mixture of wood, steel and matching colours. Concrete floorings, long wooden table completed with steel legs, coupled with vintage cushion chair for classic finish; huge cable spool table with wooden box stool; high coffee tables and chairs facing glass windows, light bulbs style ceiling lamps and shade lamps hanging over. Not exceptionally outstanding but still fares well for being cozy and welcoming.
Rebellions Coffee Bar only serves coffee and cake currently. We spotted a half-equipped kitchen at the end of the cafe, believe the team will churn out delicious food for Rebellions breakfast and brunch menu very soon. Else, it isn’t a good sign having only drinks and dessert to survive within competitive cafes scene that blooms across Klang Valley.
Espresso-based coffee is the must have in Rebellions Cafe. Double espresso, black coffee, piccolo latte, cappuccino, latte, flat white, mocha. “Something Else Maybe?” for patrons looking for more flavourful beverage, which covers from popular hot of iced chocolate to cooling Minty Chocolate; hazelnut sweet Nutella latte, Nutella Chocolate, Nutella Chcolate Bomb; spices-tingled Chai Latte, Dirty Chai Latte.
Rebellions Cafe Cold Brew scores attentions for its beautiful container, like a mini whisky glass bottle. Get them in Milk cold brew (Brazil + Ethiopia) or Black cold brew (Panama Finca Santa Teresa) at RM13 each. Handcrafted brew coffee is available too. Speak up to Rebellions barista for beans used.
Rebellions Coffee Bar is rather empty during weekends daytime, started to fill up only after lunch hour. Great for those who want to have an have some quiet time to themselves. Looking forward to their savoury menu.
