Aether Cafe TTDI is resided in Pusat Kreatif Kanak-Kanak Tuanku Bainun Taman Tun Dr Ismail, a quiet location in TTDI which we do not expect to have such a lovely place. However this also clearly indicates Aether Cafe ‘s owner ‘s goals in providing patrons with a comfy but less crowded, over-commercial scene.
You will not be able to trace down Aether Cafe from the outside. So just look out for Pusat Kanak-Kanak Tuanku Bainun and tell the security guard you would like to visit the cafe. They’ll let you in. Great thing to see that there is ample of parking spaces available, and Aether Cafe is just right beside the parking- like a small building with ceiling-to-floor windows.
Step into Aether Cafe and feel closer to the nature. Beautiful like a home garden yet cozy like a house. Rustic stone walls, rattan hoop chairs by the windows, potted orchid plants hanging from the ceiling, wooden tables and chairs brighten up with colourful pillows – this section has lots of natural lights flow in during day time. While the other area appear like a mini living room- single cushion chairs, wooden pallet coffee table, framed pictures on wall painted in dark grey.
Aether cafe doesn’t claim themselves as a cafe with delicious breakfast & brunch selections like egg benedict, French toast, American big breakfast, pastas, etc., but more of a coffee place for hectic city people to relax, slow down their pace.
Despite so, we find food on Aether Cafe menu interesting, less meat driven, having mix and match of healthy ingredients in different colours to reach for simple, refreshing outcome with a touch of creativity. Example: Toasted bread, sliced strawberry, nuttella. Violaa..we are served with a sunny opened sandwich that brings smiles.
Other choices including Apple Stack – horizontally cut apple layered with peanut butter jam. Juicy crunch with natural sweetness, coupling in creamy, peanuty goodness. Salad is nutritious, playfully filled into glass bottle where you can turn upside down, shake it before pouring out to plate. There is also cold lychee pasta, fruity rainbow shot in test tub, red velvet waffles with banana, topped with vanilla ice cream and crushed pistachios. Beverage like coffee, green tea latte, flower tea to complement.
In short, Aether Cafe proves to be another place worth-visiting for their welcoming ambience, but equally noteworthy if you wished to stay for their photography-worthy food. Coffee is rather pale for us, but heard they have good tea such as Camomile Tea, Blueberry Rooibos Tea. Service is friendly.
