Cafes with wooden theme and dark tone as the main colour can easily attract Summergirl to go in, as to her, this signfying a calm atmosphere with a trendy, mystery touch.
After Black Cafe at Bandar Sunway definitely meets such requirements, starting from the shop front. This two-storeys cafe is fully painted in black, glass window bordered in wooden frame. It is located same row with Crispy Crust Crispy Fried Chicken and Garage 51 by Coffee Societe, near to Underground Societe (US) too.
Pushing the door into After Black Cafe we are welcomed with more wooden furnishing- wooden planks decked up at the coffee counter, wooden tables and cabinets; complete with dark grey industrial-style walls and dim yellow lights for raw, rustic atmosphere.
Coffee takes the limelight in After Black but their food menu covers noteworthy dishes too, such as Cheese Baked with Squid Ink Infused Black Rice, Beef Patty with Sweet & Sour Pomelo BBQ Sauce, Tempura Prawn with Sesame Dressing and Roasted Chicken Whole Leg.
Other selection such as pasta in aglio-olio, garlic mint tomato sauce, and creamy cheese sauce; Salad in Japanese, Western and Thai Style; Sweet potato fries snack and pasta set are available too. May not be the best but sufficient for a quick meal, reasonably priced too.
After Black Cafe opens from 11AM through 11PM, with kitchen session closed from 3.30PM to 5.30PM. Staffs only take orders for drinks and coffee in these two hours. Last call for kitchen during dinner time is 9.30PM.
Mocha RM10.90
After Black serves 100% speciality grade blend, with Direct Trade Brazil Natural Mountain Mogiana as Foundation of the blend with Columbia Inza. Flavours falls on clean, sweet sensation coupled with nutty mouthfeel.
Rose Latte RM10.90
For those who prefer coffee with more gimmick touch, you can try out Rose Latte or Caramel Macchiato. Add on RM3 for Hazelnut, Rose, Toffeenut and Frosted Mint for your cold iced coffee.
Tofu Cheese Cake RM10.90
Tried out their homemade Tofu Cheese Cake from the cake & dessert counter. After Black Cafe’s version is more on creamy, cheesy texture, lack of delicate softness from tofu. Tofu Cheese Cake from Poco Homemade (*you can now get them at Cultura Bangsar, Culture IPC, Mainmain Cafe, and Fuzio Cafe) is still the best by far.
