Indulge in street food during a vacation in Penang is a must, and of course, we did. However after a long day out in Georgetown, appreciating all the street murals while going on street food marathon under the scorching hot weather, we decided to call it a day and enjoy our dinner back in the restaurant at Four Points by Sheraton, The Eatery Restaurant.
Located at the lobby level, The Eatery boasts a cozy, relaxed environment. Not exactly grandeur, but scores for its colourful furnishing within spacious interior. Diners can choose to sit inside with air-con, or outdoor al-fresco dining area that allows tropical sea breeze caress as you enjoy your dinner.
The Eatery has revamped their menu recently, highlighting more delicious local flavours with a touch of modernity. Western delicacies are available too but covers limitedly, you can always direct to the kitchen on your liking. Sloppy Joe Burger, Caesar Classico, The Eatery Nasi Goreng are few of the top picks.
Caesar Classico RM28.00
Our dinner were satisfying good, feeding the stomach with few dishes recommended by the chef. We began the meal with Caesar Classico RM28.00, a hearty plate of salad brimming with cos heart, beef bacons, Parmesan shaving, crostini, grilled chicken breast and a poached egg, which technically adds on creaminess.
Eatery Nasi Goreng RM30.00
We loved the Eatery Nasi Goreng, going back to the classic with flavour loaded Malay style fried rice, accompanied by bits and everything that well represents some of the local favourites- chicken satay, curry leave fried chicken drumstick, fried egg, pickled vegetables, crackers and sambal belacan. One of the must-have.
Grilled Salmon RM45.00
Salmon is noteworthy, crispy skin layered with meaty, flaky salmon fillet, paired with Pomelo Herbs Quinoa. Healthy, chewy and firm in texture, The Eatery’s herbs quinoa marriages surprisingly well with juicy, bitter sweet pomelo sacs. At certain points, Summergirl said she liked the quinoa more than the salmon itself, not exactly shadowed just as side dish.
Checked out also their beef tenderloin, served with a side of creamy mashed potatoes and sauté vegetables. Still a room of improvement, but no harm ordering.
