Christmas 2013 will be here in less than 10 days! Yes, it is the time again for merry making, twinkling lights, glittering tinsels and not forgetting delicious festive treats that comes special only once a year.
Let the spirit of Christmas turns alive at Seasons Café, Grand Seasons Hotel by treating yourself and loved ones to a unique culinary experience. The hotel’s team of enthusiastic chefs will prepare a sumptuous spread of buffet to ensure that your Yuletide celebration this year will be a memorable one.
Start the buffet with an array of cold dishes and appetizers to awake the tastebuds, such as Salmon Gravalax on Board, Herring Tomato Shooter, Smoked Chicken Breast with Pickle, Beef Pepperoni Platter, Smoked Tenggiri & Olives, Assorted Cold Cuts on Mini Cup, Homemade Lamb Herb Terrines Platter, Fresh Seafood on Ice Craving, New Zealand Mussel, and more.
Continue with mains that covers Western, local and oriental cravings including satay, garden vegetables, butter vegetables, fish curry, sambal squid, fish with chef’s special sauce, stir fried beef with ginger & onion, grilled lamb shoulder in honey lemon sauce, grilled fish with dil cream sauce, grilled beef with black pepper sauce, deep dried squid, and noodle soup.
We like the live cooking stall where we can pick our own condiments of fish fillet, chicken, prawn or vegetables and then hand over to the chef to cook them upon order. Feel great to enjoy pipping hot, packed in flavours Teppanyaki.
Apart from that, highlights of the evening include seasoned whole Roasted Tom Turkey with Chess Nut Stuffing Quarter Insert – Garden Green Vegetable & roasted New Potatoes. Among the many roasted turkey we had tried, Grand Seasons Hotel makes one of the best roasted turkey.
Surprisingly the meat is not tough at all. Tenderness and juiciness are the sensation that develop in our palate once tucking in. So good that no black pepper sauce or cranberry sauce are needed but no harm adding more flavours to the meat.
We leave some stomach space for the wide selection of dessert. Not to be missed out will be the traditional Christmas Pudding, Mini Mincemeat Pie, Coffee and Chocolate Yule Log and yuletide delights. Finally, round off the Christmas dining experience with a cup of coffee or tea accompanied with an assortment of Christmas Cookies – Gingerbread, Cinnamon Star Anise and a host of other tempting festive bites.
This big house caught our attention once we stepped into the buffet line. We love the giant gingerbread house and hand-in-hand gingerbread man. oh-so-cute! Feel like bringing them home!
To be truth, buffet dinner in Seasons Café, Grand Seasons Hotel is one of the best Christmas buffets we have tasted so far. Dishes aren’t extra fancy but delicious enough to make you feel like home. Extra credits to their very friendly stuff.
