Located at first floor of the hotel, Flavours restaurant offers a unique concept of chic yet charming dining environment. Contemporary innovative setting inspired by traditional motifs from intricate linear partitions to ‘anyaman’ style panelling, creates timeless era. With such a great environment, Flavours will promise you a comfortable, yet satisfying Ramadhan dining experience.
Begin the feast with appetizer such as Kerabu Kobis, Kerabu Mangga, Kerabu Nangka Muda, Buah Jeruk, Acar Buah Sri Rampai, and Ulam-ulaman, then warm up the stomach with pipping hot yet nourishing Sup Soto Ayam.
For main course, diners can feast on Salmon Fish Head Curry, Thai Green Curry Chicken, Ikan Siakap Masam Manis, Beef Panaeng, Pandan Chicken, Daging Goreng Bercili, Spicy Cat Fish with Basil, Rendang Udang Cendawan, Prawn Lasagne, Ayam Percik, Seafood Butter Rice, Peparu Goreng Bercili, Rendang Daging Tuk, Bubur Lambuk and many more. For modern twist, there’s also a Western counter where one can have Cauliflower a La Polonaise, Baked Chicken with Capsicum Salsa, Mussel & Crab Boullabaisse, etc.
Among all, we like the Seafood Butter Rice and Rendang Udang Cendawan most. While the former may seem pale, it is actually good for its soft and fluffy textures with light sweetness of seafood infused within. The later on the other hand, is flavour packed, spicy with a hint of tanginess. In fact, we like the combination of abalone mushroom with the spicy gravy, making us to visit the counter few rounds just for that dish.
In additions, there’s also ‘a la minute stalls’ where diners get to grab some local favourites such as Roti Canai, Murtabak, Asam Laksa, Seafood Tom Yam, Chicken Rice, Popiah, Pasembur, Assorted Tempura, Satay, Grilled Seafood, and Otak-otak. Don’t get to try all, but the otak-otak and satay we had in our plates, taste pretty decent.
Lastly, indulge in an array of sweet treats from the dessert counter. Apam gula hangus, kuih bahulu, tempeyek, tapai ubi, bubur sagu & keledek, penget nangka, macadamia nut brownie, pandan layer cake, blueberry cheese cake, cream caramel, caramelized banana tart and more. Do not forget to try out their famous Deep fried durian popiah – A fresh crispy popiah wraps oozzing with creaminess and sweet fragrance of durian paste. Definitely the must try!
