Aloft (pronounce as uh-loft), the brand new hip place in Kuala Lumpur Sentral came in just in time to Malaysia to usher the holy Ramadhan month this year, with their A-List Malaysian feast at Nook for you to savoured with beloved family, friends and loved ones during breaking fast time.
The ramadhan buffet features an array of sumptuous spread range from traditional local delicacies to barbeque, seafood delights, chinese cuisines and more. What makes the buffet diifferent from the rest is the modern, stylish, chic dinning settings which can accomodate 140 pax at one time, as well as unique food presentation styles that will bring you a more interesting, yet exciting Ramadhan experience.
Prepared by Chef Steven and his team, the buffet line may seem small and simple, but it is actually extensive and complete with appetisers, salad, condiments, breads, soups, main dishes, action counters and desserts, more than you thought of.
Start the feast with a range of cold cuts smoked salmon, sliced turkey ham, chicken ham, mussels or goes healthy by selecting their ulam-ulaman and vegetable salads with condiments.
Continue with mains like rendang ayam, kurma kentang, ginger beef with spring onions, breaded fish fillet with chimmichuri mayo, buttered prawn, sup ayam berempah dengan kentang, sweet corn and crab meat soup, etc. For rice lovers, you can get some wholesome rice dishes such as chicken rice, nasi briyani, bubur lambuk and nasi lemak with seafood sambal sauce too.
The list continues as we hop on to the Chinese action stalls where we found steamed fish with garlic chilli sauce, steamed chicken cube with fish maw and mushroom, steamed silky egg with muichoy sauce, steamed lamb cake with dong choy.
Also, don’t forget to get a portion of their roasted whole chicken, so tender and flavourful with no condiments needed. At the same counter, you can have beef satay, chicken satay, roti john, cencaru sumbat, Ikan bakar and seafood bakar with sambal sauce.
Sarawak laksa, the must have in this buffet. With laksa paste specially ordered from Sarawak, Nook’s Sarawak laksa is aunthentic with satisfied level of creaminess, tanginess and spiciness. While the girl liked the extra fiery taste, the boy claimed that it was too spicy for him to handle.
Dessert time. Fill the plate with cream caramel, agar-agar, jeruk, bread and butter pudding, chocolate banana cake and coffee swiss roll. Chocolate banana is high recommended- so rich, dense, and chocolaty. Bubur kacang hijau, onde-onde, chocolate walnut chookies, and more Nyonya kuih are available too.
We love the huge syringe pumps with are filled with colourful syrups for ice kacang. Just DIY your own bowl of ice kacang with toppings like red beans, corn, cendol, jelly, etc., then further brighten it up by pumping syrups on it! #Fun.
Tempted? Book early! A-list Malaysia Feast buffet is priced at RM88++ per person and early is available from now till 8th July at RM70 nett per voucher.
