It was just after a rain and we were in the mood of having something hot and soupy. Pepper soup. Bak Kut Teh. Or steamboat. And we settled down for bak kut teh at Wing Hiong Seri Kembagan at last. Being a famous chain of bak kut teh originated from Klang, Wing Hiong has built their footprints in many places such as Damansara, Puchong, Cheras, Sri Petaling, Subang, Seri Kembangan, Klang, etc.
Opened from morning till night, Wing Hiong gives diners the chance to enjoy bak kut teh not only for breakfast, but also lunch and dinner. Located in Equine Park, Wing Hiong is nearby to the famous food court, easily spotted due to its brightly lit shop.
Bak Kut Teh (RM12/person)
We went safe by ordering bak kut teh for one person. It seemed to be a right choice and the bak kut teh came in sizeable portion, brimming with generous amount of lean meat & fat meat, bean curd sheet, pork instestine, and tau pok.
The dark coloured broth was flavour packed, filled with distinct herbal taste and sweetness from meat. Medium thick and, decent enough to make us asked for the soup refilled twice.
Oyster Sauce Tofu (RM6.00)
Ordered a plate of taufu to go along with the bak kut teh, since the girl requested. Lying on soy sauce, the white taufu was topped with dried shrimp and deep fried shallot for flavour enhance. Smooth and soft in texture, it was just normal anyway.
Choy Sam (RM6.00)
There’s more stalk than leaves, or we would say that the stalk made up 3/4 of the whole plate of vege. And yeap, we wasted half of it, even the vege lover girl failed to finish them.
In short, Wing Hiong Bak Kut Teh was not bad, heard that they serve nice lala too, will try again next time.
