It was Sunday, 4pm.
Just after rain.
The girl was about to have a nap, but the boy wanted to have some coffee.
Well, he had been asking the girl to accompany him for coffee for the past one week.
He won.
So here we were, at The Red BeanBag, Publika after half and hour. It was full house the last time we were there. Luckily there were still empty seats this time.
No one greeted us.
So we grabbed a couple seats near to the entrance.
No one brought us menu.
Again.
So we grabbed two menus on our own.
The first impression: BAD
At last someone came over and placed order.
Us: ” One Iced Latte and one Baileys cake please. Thank you. ”
Our cake came in a jiffy.
Just the cake, no spoon nor fork.
Are they expecting us to eat with our hands?
So, we waited.
Still, no one brought us culinary.
Waiters were walking here and there, not busy serving food, just walked around and resting.
In the end, the girl had to ask the staff for fork. TWICE.
The second impression: VERY BAD
The Baileys Cakes. (RM14.90)
Looked tempting, but tasted average.
It was no doubt rich and chocolaty, but not something we would die for. Nothing much different from a normal alcohol chocolate cake, can reproduce this at home.
The Iced Latte. (RM9.00)
It tasted so so. Antipodean’s one was much better. Same goes to the service.
We saw that they placed plain water at almost all seats, occupied and unoccupied. But they did not give us a bottle. Funny, the placed water at unoccupied seats, but left us with nothing?
We had high expectation to this cafe, but in the end we left with dissactifaction. Just one good thing, the ambience is good and great for gathering and simple occasion.
