Kitchen Creatures @ Centre Point, Bandar Utama [CLOSED DOWN]

November 20, 2011 by summerkid_summergirl

One boring afternoon, my girl was google-ing for some nice place for dinner later and she accidentally saw the words “Kitchen Creatures” that caught her attention. Kitchen Creatures, located at Centrepoint Bandar Utama, serves casual western dining in a cozy yet simple environment. What makes it more catchy is the “no frills dining”, which means there will be no service tax and government tax apply when you dine in there.
We went there happily, with the thought that we could get some NETT priced food and saved a little. When we reached there, there was no ” no frills dining” banner as we seen from blogs. My girl started to ask me: ” Charm lo… the banner disappeared… then I have to pay the tax now.. U_U”. Feeling a little disappointed, we proceed with ordering our food, avoiding food priced at higher side, to get charged less if the food are not in nett price. Okay we are not being stingy, we just hope to enjoy “no frills dining” which especially suitable for poor student like us.
House Special Root Beer. (RM4.50)
Grilled Chicken Pasta. (RM15)
Grilled chicken slices cooked in a tomato & capsicum base sauce
Portion wise, with ample amount of mushrooms sliced and chicken. Grilled chicken was dry but the thick tomato sauce complemented the boring taste.
Monsterised Burger. (RM16.80)
150gsm australian beef or chicken patty with pickles, onion rings, lettuce, tomato, fries, chicken ham, beef bacon, cheddar & fried egg
The portion was huge. The beef patty was quite juicy and tasted delicious with so many ingredients layering in within but the whole burger was too dry. Tomato slices and lettuce in the burger were not enough to bring out the whole flavour of the burger. They should have added in some sauce to enhance the taste. Quite dissappointed with the sided fries as they were just normal frozen fries from hypermarket.
The burger was so big that I could hardly fit it into my mouth!
In the end, our total bill was charged without govenrment tax but with service tax. So sad. Don’t want to say more already. T___T
