Trying out the new Shu Daxia Hotpot KLCC 蜀大侠火锅 at Vista Damai Condominium Jalan Tun Razak (*Beside Trillion KL)!
Originated from Chengdu, Shu Daxia Hotpot takes pride in their Sichuan Malat Hotpot, proudly serving not only in China, but also expanded to Melbourne Australia, Yokohama Japan and now finally in Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur!
Shu Daxia menu selections aren’t the most extensive, but complete with a variety of premium meat, seafood, vegetables that are more than enough for your spicy-licious hot pot experience. Must-have snacks like Fried Crispy Meat大俠炸酥肉 and Rice Cake with Brown Sugar Syrup 紅糖糍粑 are available too.
Can’t decide what to order? Then start with Shu Daxia 9 Signature Dishes, namely Sliced Lamb & Beef Platter 牛羊天下, Marinated Pork Ribs 花千骨, Iceberg Duck Intenstine 冰川鴨腸, Hero Beef Skewers 大俠上上簽, Da Dao Sliced Pork Liver 大刀肝片, Tai Chi Mashed Shrimp 太極雙滑, Hero Shu Beef Tongue 舌尖上的蜀大侠, Hero Fresh Cattle Tripe 大俠水牛毛肚, and Imperial Princess Beef 貴妃牛肉.
Shu Daxia offers 4 soup options – Original Sichuan Spicy Soup正宗四川麻辣鍋, Local Spicy Soup本地麻辣鍋, Tomato Soup 純番茄鍋 and Mushroom Soup 純菌湯鍋. Diners can order single flavour, or make it into Doubled-flavoured Pot of either Spicy & Tomato Soup, Spicy & Mushroom Soup, Inner Spicy Soup circled with Tomato Soup or Inner Spicy Soup circled with Mushroom Soup. Price from RM42 for single pot, RM45 for duo flavours.
3 spiciness levels for Ma Lat – Mild, Medium and Strong. We began with the mild spiciness 微辣, and requested to level up the spiciness to Medium 中辣. Personally, we preferred the Medium, as it brings out the flavours of herbs and spices better. Quite spicy but we enjoyed the tongue-numbing kick a lot.
Meat – Ba Shu Spicy Beef, Australian Premium Sliced Beef, Marbled Ribeye Sliced Beef, Premium Sliced Lamb Leg, Fresh Duck Gizard, Sliced Bef Platter, Sliced Pork Belly, Sliced Pork Collar.
Shu Daxia is quite famous for their meat serving presentation, where meat will be placed surrounding the hotpot. Apparently we ordered the wrong meat types and didn’t get the “Wow” experience. Is ok, will visit again. Haha.
Meatballs & Seafood – Beef Ball, Luncheon Meat, Quail Eggs, Ham Sausage, Crab Sticks, Tiger Prawn, Squid Fillet, Fish Ball, Pork Ball, Fine Fish Fillet.
Vegetables – Sliced Potato, Mushroom, Organic Needle Mushroom, Sliced Lotus Root, Kelp, Broccoli, Winter Melon, Fried Beancurd, Fried Tofu, Japanese Tofu, Chinese Cabbage, Crown Daisy, Chinese Yam, Lettuce, etc.
Leng Leng Juan! The best hotpot ingredient to soak up the amazing flavours of the ma lat soup.
Didn’t put much expectation on Shu Daxia initially but to our surprise, it turned out to be one of the best SiChuan Hotpot we have tried in KL thus far. Shu Guo Yin Xiang Jalan Yap Kwan Seng is another favourite of ours. Do check out this place! Valet parking is currently free for dine-in.
