Amore Espresso Bar TTDI by Save The Date Fleur, a space for hand-tied flower workshop, art, coffee, breakfast; beyond this, about passion and love – something that we truly adore.
As usual, Friday night is our “homework time” on “where to go” for weekend cafe hopping. Came across Amore Espresso Bar TTDI and get carried away by the interior. Not exquisitely designed or extremely impressive, but it exudes an inviting, peaceful ambience that made Summergirl said: “I wanna go this cafe.” As like, immediately.
Amore cafe certainly get the scores on their photography-worthy corners. Greyish concrete floorings, marble table top, mini green potted plants, dried flowers, furnishing in contrasting white & black – Put them together and lovely Instagram pictures could come out right.
Also, spot this neon sign. Expect it to be conic photo spot of Amore very soon.
You can easily miss out this cafe (*but try not to), as it is located upstairs, along one of the busiest streets in TTDI with a minimalism, humble shop sign. Look for Paperfish Poke Bowl shop and The Legend’s Bar, Amore is located right above the later.
Currently, Amore Cafe carries a small menu that lists down selections like rice bowl, croissant, cakes and softserve. Japanese Katsu Curry Bowl RM16 ordered by Summerkid features rich, creamy Japanese chicken curry dressed over a bed of warm Japanese rice, topped with soft boiled egg and seaweed garnishing. Comfort food, homecooked taste.
Croissant here deserved a mention on their creative filling, such as croissant bulgogi chicken with melted cheese and iceberg lettuce, croissant nasi lemak rendang chicken with sambal ikan bilis. We checked out the later. Quite interesting though.
No trace of deep fried to golden brown chicken patty with crispy outer layer, fiery hot sambal or sunny side up. Amore Cafe’s version of Nasi Lemak Croissant RM14 falls on the lighter side, incorporating own creativity without compromising the core essence of Nasi Lemak.
Chunks of rendang chicken laced with shredded coconut, egg slices, cucumber, and mildly spicy onion ikan bilis sambal, sandwiched within halved croissant. Pretty decent Western x Local try. Food portion is smaller though, ideal for small eaters.
Accompany you meal in a sweet way with Amore Espreso signature dessert and speciality cakes – Ice Latte with Softserve, Iced Chocolate with Double Trouble Choocolate softserve, Rose Oolong Saoftserve, Rose Oolong creame Brulee, Salted Velvet Cake and Lavender Cake We recommend Iced latte with Chocolate Softserve RM15.
Espresso-based beverage with milk like latte, cappuccino, flat white is only RM9 per cup. Despite not the best in town, but considered reasonable in price. Hot chocolate, elderflower lemonade, rosy lychee mocktail, rose oolong tea, green tea or london fog latte for non-coffee selections.
