Pullman Putrajaya Lakeside welcomes all to join in the breaking fast ramadhan buffet dinner from 7th June till 3rd July 2016, 7PM till 10.30PM, at Clock Tower Counteryard. The buffet, theme Magical Ramadhan Nights, will lined up over 100 Malaysian all-time-favourite dishes, promises to please everyone ‘s tastebud.
This Ramadan buffet will be priced at RM169nett per adult, RM130nett for children aged between 6 to 12 years old. Looking at the varieties you can get from different stations in a large compound, the buffet definitely worth every penny you pay for- Traditional Malay delicacies, grilled seafood, homemade Turkish delights, Chinese dim sum, green salad bar, Italian pasta, all-you-can-eat durian stall and many more selections are waiting for diners to indulge in!
Began with Nasi Briyani at Malay station, and pair with Daging Salai Masak Lemak, Kambing Kurma, Ikan Keli Berlada, Udang Sambal Petai and Sayur Goreng Puteri. We enjoyed Udang Sambal Petai the most, despite we aren’t a fan of stinky beans.
And then we saw something really interesting beside the usual roasted lamb, a super huge grilled fish! So huge but get “digged-until-bone-is-seen” in a jiffy, a sign that it tastes really good! We managed to have a bit, meaty and fresh, quite OK.
Chinese station churns out some of the popular Chinese dishes – Roasted chicken rice! It is good but do not stuff yourself with too much rice! The station offers also dim sum, chicken pau, dumpling, Kam Heong lala and fish. Try the dim sum, surprisingly better than we thought of. One of our friends had two baskets of steamed bun wrapped with saucy chicken filling, and claimed that it was delicious!
This is the area we love most, plenty of delicious, spiciness loaded selections! Kari Ayam, Kari Kambing, Kari Sotong, Kari Kepala Ikan Grouper and all things spicy! Kari Ayam is our favourite, flavourful, richly flavoured with coconut milk. There’s also non-spicy food such as Murtabak, Roti John, Ayam Goreng, Telur Ikan Goreng and Roti Canai to please.
Sandwich this with Lebanese bread, and dollop of Tabouleh, Babaganoush, or Fattoush.
Grilled Station
Beef Satay and Chicken Satay keep themselves humble next to BBQ Seafood stall, but turned out to be one of the best dishes in Putrajaya Pullman Lakeside Resort Ramadhan buffet 2016. Tender chicken, laced with sweetness and hints of burnt aroma from grill. Great without any sauce needed but there’s also spicy peanut sauce for you to dip on.
Malaysian favourite street food up in the buffet! Sotong kangkung with condiments; Pasembor with lots of ingredients to pair with the sweet peanuty sauce; and not to forget, a bowl of warm, pipping hot laksa noodles for the tangy spicy twist that spicy up your appetite!
Other than Malay, Chinese and Indian cuisine which well-represent Malaysia cuisine, Pullman Putrajaya Ramadhan buffet also dish out international cuisine such as Italian pizza, spaghetti, fresh garden salad, Napolitane and Lagsana. Not exactly memorable but no harm giving a try.
Eat-all-you-can durian stall. The fun part of the ramadan buffet. You get to stand in “durian stall” and start digging in durians as many as you wish too. Pretty similar to SS2 durian buffet hahahaha. Diners who are not into durians may enjoy bananas, longans, dragon fruits and more.
Dessert plays a major role in Pullman Ramadhan buffet. Walking into the air-conditioned room and we were surprised with the array of sweet treats that will excite both children and adults. From Malay kuih like Kuih Koci Pulut Hitam, Kuih Ketayap, Kuih Lapis, Kuih Seri Muka, Kuih Seri Manja, Kuih Pulut Inti, to Western dessert including Apple Crumble, Chocolate Cake, Cheese Cake, Pudding, Jelly and freshly made popcorn all looks promising. We got carried away with the ice kacang stall with more than 10 toppings to choose from!
